Ouch. Well better to have caught and lost (even a spool of line) than never to have caught. Were you down rigging? Or flatlining with planner boards.

Trolled around Jordan down to port Weller today. One small rainbow and one big smallie. Where did they go? Found dirty water and mud line but no takers!!

Nope, out of Jordan trolled toward pt d. Large cluster off creek west of pt d. Water temp 43-45. Blue/silver straight back flat did better than the planner board.

Pretty much the same. 6 of 10 came off same colour. Hope wind report is wrong!!!

Went 2 for 10. Tough bite. Seems they where just swiping at it, lots of grabs but by the time we get to the rod they were off. Oh well, never a bad day of fishing. Weather was perfect.

Good to know, it was over 20yrs ago when we would launch out of Hamilton...as early as Good Friday...caught some nice spring kings back then....looking forward to getting lines wet...going to be cold but winds look pretty forgiving after this week!

Looks like Saturday is going to be the day to make the trip...years ago I launched out of Hamilton Harbor, anyone having any success from shore that north of Jordan?
