  1. Yes there are some crazy currents that happen out there and they will effect cannon ball weights when you get then deep. It was mentioned above that shark style and torpedo weights will track much better. There are some guys on this site that make both styles and I highly recommended them

There is currently a massive mudline out in front of the genny west to ibay.  I think it’s from the dredging of the river? It’s so pronounced right now it looks unnatural. I will drive by on the way to pick up my kids and get a pic.

You can see it on the satellite images from today

  3. I like a 50 ft leader for my copper and lead setups. You have some room on there to retie a few times. For divers I reel the diver to the rod tip. Tie on the leader and then run it down the rod and around the reel and back up to the rod tip and tie on a swivel

What I'm saying is they could have moved to deeper water.  We have been getting a huge abundance of 1-2" gobies in our intake recently.  That is not the norm.

I think you are both right. There was some decent numbers around until we had all that east wind and the water cleared up. I have been getting out since March 9th and have put 100 browns or more in the boat and not one under 5 or 6 pounds.  Something is up
