  1. I couldn't agree more gator, everything you said is spot on in my book. I did break down and head for the stand yesterday morning. I enjoyed watching a doe with triplets wander by as well as a fat racoon retreating to the safety of his hollow. I would not of shot a doe regardless at this point but had my video camera in hopes to keep my hands busy if the big one showed! Sent from my SM-N910V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. If that's the case I'm glad I don't live in those other states, lol. Either gun or bow I need my solitude in a tree and experiences with buddies at camp! Being busy at work and with expanding family I find less and less time to head for the woods, so I am glad our season is long like it is. Sent from my SM-N910V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. The last thing I intended was to start an archery vs gun debate! I am avid in both and the last thing I think our sport needs is for us to be fighting amongst ourselves. Especially when there are flawed movements (such as the safe act) which jeopardize our young ones to have such an opportunity. Sent from my SM-N910V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. If your a big guy like me ( my shoe size is 15 ) try bigcamo.com they have a couple waders in big and or tall sizes. Not to mention various other clothing and footwear. Sent from my SM-N910V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Is any one else flustered about the doe only start for archery season? I'm an avid deer hunter above any other hobbies in my life. This year sucks! I limit myself to what I consider a good buck for harvesting and I also shoot does to keep the freezer full. Typically I shoot does when the timing is right, for example the very end of an evening hunt when I don't plan on going back to that stand for at least a week or so. As for worthy bucks, well I'm sure many of you can agree when all of the right things happen to give you an opportunity you take advantage of it! This year I have told myself I can't hunt till buck season opens because I don't think I could refrain from releasing an arrow on a buck of my liking if it happened to present itself! I don't agree with breaking the rules but it's killing me to sit in my recliner when I could be up a tree and it's only day one of 14 for the waiting game. Thanks for reading, A frustrated archer! 9. Looking on the Internet, I believe the model changed in 1982. Thank you though! Sent from my SM-N910V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Looking for the complete power trim system for a 1975 evenrude 115hp outboard. I believe they are all the same for evenrude/Johnson 65-130hp from late 60's to somewhere in the 80's. I tried a universal power trim that mounts to the boat and then the outboard mounts to that but it will not work with the way my boat is shaped, so I need one that is mentioned to mount on the outboards bracket. Any ideas on where to search or if you have one you want to part with please coment. Thank you, Mossyhorns Sent from my SM-N910V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  12. Has anybody had experience with the raymarine wifish? I'm a newbie to the salmon/lakers end of fishing as well as lake ontario. I just added a boat to my garage (92 bayliner capri 18') I want to set it up for trolling lake O and maybe some of the finger lakes. Seeing how I have a lot to invest in this winter ( down riggers, poles, reels, 2nd battery, rod holders and the list goes on lol) I was very curious when I came upon the wifish. I could run my GPS thru my phone (navionics? Possibly ) and the wifish thru my tablet. It seems the image quality should be better on the tablet than say the dragonfly 6 I was also looking at. This would cut spending $670 down to $169 for me and work just as well? Any input is appreciated! Thanks Sent from my SM-N910V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. A great day spent with Captain Matt French of Class A Sportfishing! There is no better place for a good bachelor party than a day spent fishing. We headed out on 9/15 and couldn't have planned for better weather. All of us as first timers going after this caliber of fish felt very welcomed and in no time we were landing double and triple sets! (Well all except for an individual we will leave nameless that seems to have worse luck than most lol) we can't wait to go again! Thanks Matt and Tom you guys are second to none! 14. Going on a charter coming up. For cast right now shows 2-4' waves dropping to 1-2' the boat is 31' with a 10' beam I believe. None of us have experience on the big lakes, we want to have fun but are not sure of how bad this actually is? Any input?
  15. I appreciate everything so far, I want to expand a little on the subject though. First his wedding is Oct 4 and we are hopefully looking for a weekend day before that weekend, not sure how far out charters are already booked? Second we are a group of guys looking to have fun but we won't be drinking do to the groom recently in sober program. He is a good guy and felt he was drinking a bit to much lately. So a Capt. worried of over drinking would need not concern.I guess my main concern is if it's to late for a weekend that fits the time frame? Thanks again for any input! Jeff
  16. Hi everyone, I live in western new York and all though I am an avid fisherman all my experience is in small lakes, rivers and such. I have a good buddy that I want to take on a salmon charter for his bachelor party. After scrolling through website after website of possible charter captains I am struggling with finding one for a fun successful trip. Any pointers or even suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you, Mossyhorns
