  1. Does anyone change they're game in order to justify fishing the warmer temps? From most of my expiriences (which are very minimal compared to allot of you guys), if handling the fish and taking the photo is removed from the equation the fish seem to regulate and recover just fine. It's the fish that are handled that I've spent 30-45 minutes with.
Just curious to hear others points of view and tactics for the couple high temp months we get here.

  2. If your looking for an excellent guided tiger muskie and walleye expirience I would strongly suggest checking out otisco lake guide service. Justin is a great guy and extremely knowledgeable fishing guide. The day will be taylor fit to meet your expectations whether your a hardcore angler or a newbie bringing the family along for the memories. Good luck planning your trip!

  3. Kaptag, I look forward to meeting you at this year's events. I'd like to ask one thing of you and anyone that shares your opinion.
Please give this one chance, expirience it with the rest of us (if in fact it is decided to be allowed), and then form an opinion. A closed mind is the enemy in regards to forward progress of any kind. Good day.

29 more days until the end of winternet seasons fellas. I wonder if the pike, tigers, and walleye are counting the days....

  4. Kids these days watch muskie anglers on you tube like we watched Bill Dance every Sunday morning. In a few years they will be out there fishing next us on their own boats.
Shouldn't we show them how to respect the fisheries and other anglers now so that we all don't have to deal with uneducated "fishermen" when they are grown up? Something worth thinking about I say.

  5. Thanks for sharing your opinion kaptag. Personally I take no offense. I don't see any reason for any negative response. Everyone that is or would be participating should be able to voice their thoughts without a public lashing. Although my outlook is different, I'm sure the guys in charge of chapter 69 will consider each of our opinions and make a decision based on the standpoint of the majority. They have to hear our opinions for that to work. So thanks for sharing yours.

  6. That's what will make difference. More so than any contribution or donation to the sport that our club could offer. Getting young people involved should be the first priority in my opinion. If our common goal is in fact to protect our amazing muskie fisheries.
Incentives to include the youth could go a long way to help secure the future of our muskies.

  7. This probably isn't the place but would anyone be interested in some sort of incentive to bring young people along to these events? Be it points or prizes I think this should be encouraged. I have only been to a few tourneys but I haven't noticed a teen at a single event.
I know if I was exposed to a group like this when I was a teen, it would have saved me from a few mistakes that I regret in my fishing past.
    Just a thought.
