  1. Me and my dad headed out right outside I bay. Lines in by 545am started at 110fow trolled cowbells, went 7 for 7 on lakers. Hit a coho at 80' over 110fow on a special lure from Maine called mooselook wobbler. My dad was doubting my lure but I'm glad it produced. Anyone else use lures from different regions? Haven't caught any kings yet mainly because we have been targeting the lakers. We are still new to this but for a father and son team we do pretty good! post-159302-14664304646261_thumb.jpgpost-159302-14664304769888_thumb.jpg

  2. I've been fishing out of sandy all year and got one over 20# every trip using cowbells and gambler rigs trolled at 1.5 mph, but it comes at a price though because I've never caught any other species going that slow

This is my first year catching lakers I have had a rough start but now I'm getting the hang of it. I trolled 1.8 to 2.0 and caught the 4 coho at that speed. Can't wait to hook into a 20#!

  4. I know the definition of Mobility, A Trolling plate takes thrust of your motor and pushes it to the sides, taking away control. Bags stabilize your boat, not toss you about with the currents, ds. you keep using it but that plate. I guarantee you will have better boat control with bags set up right over a plate.

Have you tried trolling in a bay with those bags? Your telling me the current does not sway your bags while trolling? You must be new at this.

  5. Bags are much better for boat control than a Trolling plate. Mobility? It takes me 10 sec. To pull my bags if I want to stop trolling.

Mobility - the ability to move or be moved freely and easily. The the mobility of your boat! Trolling bags are affected by currents and sway back and forth while turning and are not reliable for control over your boat. A trolling plate attaches directly to you lower unit centered and bolted in. It can easily move with the turn of the wheel (mobility) and does not create excessive uneven current that can throw off side planers or flat lines. In My Opinion a trolling plate is a better choice.
