  1. SLR Canadian side

Any reports for the SLR on the Canadian side? Fishing? Water levels? etc.. I fish the area from Gananoque to Grass creek park. Heading up Saturday Thanks.

  2. Just got back to Pa this AM. Brutally hot. Didn't fish much during the day. Didn't want the kids out in that soup too long. Fished Long point area. No pike or pickerel but did manage some nice LMB. Switched over to evening walleye to escape the heat on Guffin bay. Did well drifting crawler rigs in 10-12 FOW. Nothing big but kids had a ball. Spent most of the day time swimming at Keewayden State Park.

  3. Dennis,

This lure is very speed sensitive. If you try to troll too fast it will spin on you. It will only run about 1 foot deep so you will have to add weight to get it down. I like to use a 3 way swivel attached to a 4 foot leader of 10lb florocarbon.

  4. post-159773-0-14079200-1469819574_thumb.jpgI learned this trick many many years ago on Lake St. Clair. It has accounted for more walleye than all the other lures I use combined. It is a Helin flatfish model U-20 with the hooks removed and a crawler harness with beads attached to the rear eye.

  5. If restricted to just the bay because of the weather what would you recommend I fish for? I understand there is good pickerel and pike fishing around hoveys island. What about walleye? Can I expect to catch any trolling in the bay? Also since I only have a 17' boat I can trailer it and drive up to Chaumont bay or Sackets harbor and launch there. What do you think?
