Thats mine. From the inside it looked good except for the bottom where water ran down the floor and hit it. Its pretty rough 3/4 of it is rotten. It supports the motor and outdrive. I didnt have much faith in the aluminum by its self. So i am replacing it. Definitely not an easy job, but better that having the transom rip off the boat. I has to have some structural support for an outboard. I would just replace it. If you are gonna keep the boat its worth it.

  2. We launched from long point this morning and trolled north for a bit then south to AES. We hit alot of fish, landed 15 to 20 lost about the same. Seth green rig with Small black and purple evil eye, and of course always the bottom leader 100 down took a bunch early, Took a lot on gambler type rigs, (I tie my own) towed behind 12" flashers and large silver horde dodger, on the rigger and wire divers. Had flasher flies on the high braid divers which also took a couple. Lost a big salmon or rainbow on the braid diver. Lakers were mostly small but did get a few in the 8lb range. Down speed was around 2.4. Seemed like faster or slower they wouldnt hit. There is a bit of current out there. You may want to invest in a fish hawk. Depending on direction we were going faster or slower on the gps to maintain the 2.4 100' down.

  3. Caught a few lakers out in front of meyers yesterday. One on a spoon, one on a flasher fly. 5 gallon buckets tied out on the side of your boat like a trolling bag will slow you down, just cut about a 3" hole in the bottom. We were doing 2.0 to 2.4. Lots of marks and bait on the screen right out front of meyers. Drifting or jigging sawbellies would probably work too.

  4. 4 riggers on a small boat just seems like a mess waiting to happen. We run two riggers in the back corners with a wire diver on each side. I would not leave the dock with out my wire diver, does the most fish whether on ontario of the fingers. If we need more we will usually stack lines on the riggers or use cheaters. Also just one more thing to get in the way netting fish with 4 riggers. However its what works for you.

  5. I came up with an idea for a spoon box out of frustration with finding a reasonable price on a special mate, probably just me being cheap. It seems to work pretty good. The next one will have to be a little deeper for mag spoons. Half full and there is 45 spoons in there. The foam was 1/2 inch interlocking floor tiles from the kids play room that my wife was going to throw out. 20170513_221115.jpg 20170513_215423.jpg20170513_215349.jpg20170513_215339.jpg20170513_215332.jpg
