  2. Best trolling motor battery

Hey guys.  I love trolling and I love the new boat I bought.  But I just don't get enough hours out of my 12v deep cycle battery. I really like trolling at night for walleyes, and I like to do that with my trolling motor to really keep the noise down even know plenty of guys use there kicker the whole night and do fine.  I have the minn Kota power drive v2 55lb 12v trolling motor. I wanna find a Battery that goes 8 hrs on a full charge. Right now I'm only getting like 4 to 5. A couple people just told me AGM is the way to go?  I was hoping you guys had some input on what the best make and model of a trolling motor battery is from your past experience?  Should I have 2 12v batteries wired in parallel? What battery helped you guys the most getting continuos hours out of a battery ?

  3. Thank you for that response. Yes I am only gonna be fishing in the spring for browns and maybe the occasional coho. I got the 2 different lb tests because I wasn't sure which to go with.  But the reels Okuma Magda pro MA30DX both of them, and they say they are go for 510 yards of 15lb test or 310 yards of 25lb test.  What ya think for those setups

  4. First time using lead core

Hey guys.  I'm new to the lady O trout game.  I just got 2 new trolling rods and reels and I'm gonna spool em up with this lead core I picked up the other day. I'm gonna set em up for trolling spoons for browns.  What is the best way to spool a line counter reel up with this stuff?  What should I use for a backer? And what should I go with for a leader for browns.  I don't wanna go with too heavy a fluorocarbon.  Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

  5. Viewing fish on side imaging

Hey guys.  I am in the market for a new helix unit with side imaging.   I was about to buy the helix 9 si/gps combo unit. And then I read a couple reviews that said you can't see fish well with the helix 9 SI, and that you needed to buy a 10 to actually be able to see fish with a shadow, cause only the 10 or better can do that. Does anyone know if that's true.  It's like a 400$ jump from one to the other, and it's a jump I don't wanna take if I don't have to! Haha. I just don't wanna buy into side imaging with the helix 9 and only be able to see structure not fish...  if anybody could help me make this decision, and maybe give some feedback if they have either of these units, I would greatly appreciate it
