  1. Looks like Saturday will be the only day of the weekend to get out with the waves predicted for Sunday. I was out of Sodus yesterday fishing was some of the toughest I've had all year. Put five in the boat and lost two. At first we had 44 to 45 deg water down 110. Fish were stacked on bottom in 110 to 130. Then the west then North West wind turned that 110 ft water to 70 deg water fast. Start in that range work out to 180, flashers and fly's down 100 to 140 and spoons in same range did all our fish. Did have one great fish on a 400 copper but that was the only fish on copper or core. Took a brown down 140 over 200 that was a surprise LOL. Good luck let us know how you do. Sean

    So probably start deeper then?

  2. I do basically what you said, I run 2 riggers, with fixed sliders, so 10 feet up from the clip on the rigger ball I put a splitshot and connect the cheater under the splitshot, then I take 2 dipseys on each side, and run flasher flys of them, but I use both standard size and and one is on the first setting and the.other is on the 3 setting. Good luck!

  3. Hi,

I need some help understanding the settings on the dipsey. On the moveable weight on the bottom there is an arrow pointing R & an arrow pointing L with their corresponding numbers, 1-3. If I set the weight in the direction of the L arrow, does it mean the dispey will go left when in the water and therefore run it on the port side of the boat?

    Thanks & Boat Safe

I always think of it as this, put the weight towards the boat, and I usually troll 2.4-2.8 mph and I go by, the first setting, 3 feet out 1 foot down and the 3 setting is 5 feet out 1 foot down
