  1. I need some advice to the location to mount my third downrigger. I have an outboard motor with no trolling motor. I have a small swim platform on the starboard side. The rigger boom is 3’ Long. Do I mount the third rigger on the back of the boat on the port side? If so will the rigger on the back interfere with netting fish? I know you all have a wealth of knowledge and experience. I thought I ask before I start drilling holes in my boat.

  2. It’s all about personal preference and type of riggers you use. Stackers are the cheapest part of trolling. So grab one or two of each and try them out. If you want to pay shipping or meet up, I would donate a couple to you.

    Since we didn’t get on the water today. I taught my daughter today to make some planer board trees. I was teaching her that fishing isn’t only about reeling in the big fish, it’s about preparation and hard work even before you get on the water. Great life lessons that involves the joys of fishing. Thought you guys would appreciate the post. Tight lines
