  1. Fishing was good the first day, shallow boulders topwater for smallies and weedy back bay shoreline structure for Largies. After the cold front moved in the fishing really slowed down. Picked off fish here and there, but the front turned em off pretty good. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. Thanks wrinklestar nice report!!! I hear it’s a world class bass fisheries, I’m still looking for my 6er maybe this week!!! My area it’s tough to get the outdoor news that’s upto date always seems to be 2 weeks behind everywhere. I should just get a subscription delivered. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. Heading to chaumont bay next week. Focusing on bass, but wouldn’t mind catching northern as well if they’re around this time of year? Also wouldn’t mind taking a day for eyes if it’s not far of a run. Not looking spots just a bit advice, depths to start looking? Also if anyone has water temp would be appreciated? 4. Headed to chaumont mid September. Looking for a bit of advice on types of areas to fish. Are they usually caught up shallow this time of year ? I’m going to go with grubs, cranks, toowater, and jerkbaits up shallow. Trying to find rocky areas. Is a deep water bite a thing this time of year? I’ve been to chaumont one other time, same time of year, with not much luck, but the few days we were there a cold front pushed in and I’m thinking that had to do with the ooor fishing. 5. Where do you guys fish walleye in the high peaks region? Hitting black lake Wednesday- Sunday. But wouldn’t be opposed to splitting off 2 days and trying a different lake. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. Looking to take a last minute trip, will be going going for 3 full days of fishing all catch and release and hopefully fishing evening I get there. I would like to hit at least 2 different lakes and target 2-3 different species, the more the merrier. Would prefer bass, pike, walleye, and trout if I can cast or jog for the them live bait works too. Any advice on areas to go would be appreciated!!! Some places I have in mind are -lake pleasant, Oxbow, piseco, sacandaga, I’ve fished pleasant once and hammered the smallies I hear they have walleye my question is are they worth it? Oxbow I’ve heard good things about bass fishing, but I am very spurious in more info on this lake if there’s truth behind the rumors. -Tupper lake area , I hear Tupper holds huge eyes but are tough to catch I’ve read about turning your cone angle down due to iron in the water, and purple and UV baits. But I wonder if 2 days of fishing Tupper is enough time to figure out the fish? I prefer jigging but not opposed to trolling dipsys. I have not done enough research yet on Saranac what do expect there? Also any other surrounding water ways that may be worthwhile. Thanks for any advice in advance.
  7. Thanks for the info, going to be targeting eyes, but wouldn’t complain about getting into some trout and smallies. I looked at merland park I liked there set up, I’ll have to check out the other places too. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. Thanks for the input guys I’m actually going to quinte in June never been there before. I am currently doing some research on places to stay, is there an area you guys would say is better fishing in June? I’d like to find a cottage in area I don’t have to drive too far in the boat. I can get upto 40mph I’m not too limited but if I could I’d like to keep it under 15 miles one way to the farthest place we would be fishing. Thanks for the input guys. Appreciate the info on Stoco horse hunter did some research seems like a cool lake, I am highly considering fishing that tourney this weekend!!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. Looking for suggestions on a destination to catch walleye or crappie or jumbo perch within 8 hours of buffalo? Would like to try somewhere different than Simcoe or nipissing. Thanks for any suggestions. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Looking for advice on lakes/rivers within an 8 hour drive of buffalo, I can drive a little further if it’s worthwhile. I’ve got off for 2 weeks the end of October early November. I always wanted to just take off and go fish by myself, but being that it is November I’d like to go somewhere south of New York. Shoot me some ideas of great places to check out, I’m not 100% set on fishing walleye I would just love to try a new fishery that’s out of my comfort zone. Look forward to hearing some ideas and your experiences!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
