  1. Thanks but Rochester is way out of my neighborhood. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. I found the app icon on page two of my icons. Don’t know when it got there or why not at end of page three. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. You described my set up to a tee. This was before I read the thread I just brought up that named it the Seth Green Rig! I bought my rods and reels used and already setup. I did replace the old 30 pound mono main line. Made up 10 foot and 12 pound floro leaders. TIP. As instructed, used a clear 2 liter bottle, spray paint inside orange ( would have enjoyed emptying an orange crush bottle) as a float. I’ll confess, I hooked first leader to bottom of bead swivel rather than top, spun until entire 10 feet of leader wound tight around main line. Should have asked the seller about that part while I had chance. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. So without really knowing what the name of it was, I was running a Seth Green Rig on keuka last week. I was advised to run a three pound weight under a 2 liter bottle for a float. 3 pound lead weights are pricey and hard to find. I’m looking for ideas ( proven to work only please) about alternate weights. Im thinking gravel filled plastic bottle? Probably spin like a top? PVC pipe filled, with an eyelit 1/3 back so I will act like it’s own rudder? You see I am looking for cheap and easy! Any inputs will be appreciated. 5. This thread was sooo good to read I’m just posting to it to bring it ahead five years to the present. A true wealth of information on this site.
  6. I was thinking spoons but it came out flashers? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. I plan to hit it this holiday weekend. Keuka was 50 degrees last week. I assume Seneca is similar. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. Why will the app not download to my iPhone? I have to go to App Store every time to open this. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. So, being rather new to this whole trolling thing, I was wondering how and why one would accumulate dozens of flashers? Is it because most fishing lures are more for the fisherman than the fish?
  10. Thanks pap! I'm no longer a hunter so I guess that makes my season opener today! ( as soon as I scrape the frost off my tow vehicle) I run a Mercury outboard so I'm good to go all winter!
  11. First timer After weeks of reading, I finally signed up. I've spent time and $ outfitting my Bass Master bass boat for trolling. Tomorrow morning with my brother will be my maiden voyage with the new gear. I'm from Corning area so Keuka and Seneca will be my local lakes. I did quite well on the bass at Keuka all summer. Last fall my tow vehicle was down so this is my first November fishing. If I ever land a big one perhaps then I can put up a profile picture!
