The only thing I didn't understand about the spec is ''and a liquid smooth clutch which eliminates need for auto stop''

I think they're implying the clutch won't grind or whine when the ball reaches the boat. That's nice and all, but you still need to turn off the retrieve. It's nice just setting and forgetting (with auto stop).

quick question, i was just ready to order a couple of these from fishusa,

at the bottom in the question section, it says these won't fit a traxtec trac or cisco trac

can anyone confirm this, or are they wrong will they fit

From what I understand, they should fit. Maybe someone can confirm.

the only ones I know of that has a below vertical setting is the traxstech ratcheting holder. it has 17 positions up and down. I have the cannon on my boat and love the one hand operation. I just bought one of the traxstech holders. going to see which ones I like beat.

I'll just throw this out there - let me know which you think is best and what features you think are missing from each. I'm actually working on designing my own now, you sir could influence the development early on.

  4. This kind of stuff makes me rage!

Odds are the culprits will try to sell the gear eventually. Doubt they know what they have. They'll wait a couple months and then offload on Craigslist or whatever.

Here's what I suggest; set up Craigslist alerts for your area for any keyword matching your gear. Then keep an eye out to see if they pop up. I had an auger stolen from me years ago and was able to catch the thief that way.

And how much would you be willing to pay for original and good ideas?

A case of beer and some free merchandise once the idea goes commercial :).

On a more serious note, many people have ideas, very few can bring the execution. With great execution you can turn even a stupid idea into money. With poor execution, even a great idea can be squandered.
