  1. Good to hear from you Dale. I didn't mean to hijack your thread in any way. I just am a firm believer in full pass threw shots no matter what. I think that alot of people worry to much about speed now instead of shooting arrows that are tough enough to do the job that we expect them to. Everything changes with heavy arrows. The deer even react completely different when hit with a heavy arrow. Bows are more silent there are so many benefits that are over looked just to gain 20 or 30 ft per second. I also don't like that alot of people were taught by others to aim back to stay away from the front shoulder because arrows were not designed to make contact with bone and that has lead to alot of 1 lung and maybe liver at best shots. Shooting a heavy arow set up with a tough solid broadhead gives you the ability to tuck right in to the shoulder with the confidence that if something goes wrong you have the ability to split shoulder bones and still enter the most leathal part of the chest cavity closest to the heart. It's all knowing your limitations not Shooting out side of them and having a arrow that is designed to do the dirty work when something un expected happens. I'd be interested in the GPS on my arrow.

  2. This concept I'm my opinion would be great if your arrow stayed in the animal. However in my opinion if your arrows are not passing threw the animals I believe you should really re evaluate the arrows and broad heads that you are using. I'm a firm believer in the Ashby tests and have been shooting heavy Foc arrows for years with solid fixed blade broad heads. The whole supper speed arrow craze in my opinion really did absolutely nothing for bow hunting. Shoot heavy bone splitting arrows shoot to kill not for a blood trail.

  3. Anyone have any good starting points for some silvers on Cayuga. Can't seem to get threw the lake trout to pick some up. Fishing through out the hole water colomn and still grabbing Lakers. Mostly fishing north end of the lake but willing to travel. Been picking Lakers way out of temp and way out of normal laker speed. Thanks in advance tight lines folks

  4. Wondering if anyone has ever run a fly set up with teaser's. Basically running a meat rig but having a fly instead of the meat set up. I tie my own fly's so have the material but never see this setup being used. Before I waist my time is there a reason? I can't see a reason it wouldn't work. Just looking for something to play around with. Thanks.

  5. Thanks guys I've caught a fair amount of them trolling during the day but it's always kind of a surprise. And I'm looking for a chalange or maybe a way to target them specificly. I understand the temps and also know fishing the fingers is a whole different ball game than fishing lake Ontario. Thanks Seth. I always look forward to your opinions on topics. And also thanks Nick with I respect you giving up info knowing it can effect your business publicly sharing your secrets. Tite line guys and all of the luck to you this season

  6. Any one out there have any tips for catching browns on Cayuga as the season progresses. I catch them on here and there but can hardly say I have a pattern figure out for them. Not looking for any secret spots but more general patterns. And spoon/ plug / flasher fly options. I know boat shyness comes more in to play and I have all the toys to combat that. I also have the understanding of temps. I just never have been able to put together a productive brown program. Thanks alot and Tite lines

  7. Agreed 100 percent. My comment was not in debate but as a reminder. Any one that disagree with the actions of those heroic individuals that day and then claims to have 30 yrs of experience to back it up is a discrace to the fire service in it's itself maybe you don't agree in going in maybe you do but those 343 brothers that died that day are true heroes. End of story.

  8. Firechief48. Please invite me to this debate I would love to hear of his 30 years of experience. I have 20 yrs in a ghetto fire house local 1404. Short handed every fire barn job fire trucks and equipment and we get it done every day. "Greater love hath no man than this. That a man lay down his life for anouther.". Nothing is Vacant untill it is proven to be vacant. This whole hit it hard from the yard has ruined the fire services and has and will cost people that rely on us for protection their lives.
"Electricians get zapped, carpenters hit them selves with hammers, and firemen get burned.". It's just the way it is.

  9. Thank you frogger for the response. I'm going to take voltage measurements next time I'm at the boat. Did you find the riggers to repel fish. I haven't noticed anything else on the boat caroding deafinatly not getting any shocks. I feel like I'm chasing a coincidence but I'm doing some fine tuning on the boat and if I'm having a problem deafinatly want to fix it.

  10. Thanks for the replys I guess I'm not as worked about having to little a charge as I am having to much. I know the electrical fields can attract or repel fish and I won't have the answer untill I test the system. If I did have a " hot " boat I'm just wondering what the easiest way to remidy the problem is. I have never used braid on a downrigger I guess I have never noticed quite a large difference in catch rates between the riggers and divers. My divers have always caught more than the riggers even before this boat but it seems the numbers are way more different than in years past.
