if the empeller was pumping properly it would stay cool even when trolling. you need a new water pump impeller and it will stop overheating when idling.

Impeller and tstat both replaced still over temp alarm after 15-20 min at idle replaced poppet everything was good

  2. Getting tangles on riggers rods and can't even run dipseys. Seems to be heavy current pulling one side or the other on my sets. Some days worse than others. Obviously I'm relatively new to trolling ontario. Catching alot of fish but yesterday had too many tangles. Any advice?

Pull riggers with wingers before letting out dipsey tough to get dipsey by rigger cable

  3. Been wanting a Fillet board for the back of the boat for some time now, but after pricing them decided it I’m just gonna make one.  So far so good.  Made it 42”x18” with 4” sides. Just gotta get two bases so I can slide it into my double rod holder.  I know alot of guys make these.  Any ideas what to use for a base? Was thinkin a flush mount rod holder for the gunnel, but there to big to slid into rod holders.

  4. I bought a new boat and I’m looking to mount a planner board reel. I want one that’s is not permanent because I spend most of the time in the salt. There’s not much room on the side of the pilot house. Any ideas?

  5. I have a bunch of the spoon pads from Amish outfitters like the ones above. They are okay but I must say that if you are dealing with space issues these are not exactly small. We went that way and after 1 year we went back to special mate boxes. Too much hassle with the pads for us. We have two big special mates then a small one that holds about 40 spoons that we take on the boat with us

Far better in our opinion for small space considerations but again everyone has a preference

But when 5 pads fit in the canvas bag it is far less space than the boxes it’s like an oversized briefcase or super slim suitcase and can be stored leaning up against the hull and not take up valuable floor space
