  1. Thank you so much. I will try it next time out in the morning and head out for salmon late morning. For some reason the salmon haven’t hit first light this year for me. Personally I love BT fish to eat the most!
  2. I believe they use bay rats for walleye too! But the browns aren’t as deep as the salmon?
  3. What does obvi stand for? Obviously? How does depth correspond with sizes of lures? Does depth determine colors? I used to use jointed rapalas. I also used to use thundersticks. Do they work? Like 15 bucks now…Any spoon size or color suggestions? What depth works with the diver bay rats? Thanks for taking time out to help.
  4. I've used them in the spring but didn't know you can use them in the summer? I thought spoons were used? About how large? Troll them near bottom? Any idea what temps work? Thanks!
  5. I've caught browns in the spring but haven't targeted them in the summer or fall. My understanding is to fish near the bottom in about 58 degrees? What lures work? Any advice for targeting them? I fish in Henderson and sometimes Mexico. Thank you in advance.
  6. Ever since herring had to be certified have never had as much luck. The frozen strips I used recently don’t even stink. any suggestions to make substandard cut bait better or a brand that works well? Thank you
  7. Does steel go as deep as copper? What would the drop be? is there a corrosion problem with steel? I use copper now and was comparing. Thank you
  8. Here's a smiling first mate holding the catch... It did have the pink stripe down the side. Check out the gold tint on the gill plate.
  9. Very interesting! It did have the colors of a rainbow. The head was a bit different. Even more interesting to hear you actually caught two. Thanks for responding. This is really different. I will send more pictures later.
  10. I caught this fish this summer in the lake salmon fishing and can't get an answer from anyone. I have never seen this fish before and just sent the picture to the DEC to see if they can identify it. Has anyone identify this or has anyone caught one like this? Check out the fins!
