  1. Makes me want to take the boat out of the back yard and get it to the docks. Excuse my ignorance, I'm just starting out. if these questions are not appropriate, please let me know. 1) What speed do you usually troll? Do you vary the speed depending on what kind of lure, ie stick bait, vs spoons? 2) What kind of water color do you look for. Are you looking to fish the "pea green", or darker? 3) Do you zig zag in and out of the colored water, or do you try to keep your boat in the color. 4) What kind of lures are you using? Any suggestions to this newbie would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Nice to meet you all. my boat isn't named, so we call it the boat. Its a 19ft Wellcraft Cuddy runabout.. I fish(wash spoons) out of sodus bay. I pretty much hang out on the sandbar when I'm with the wife and friends, but get out of the bay every now and again. I just did rig the boat with rod holders(PVC pipe) and tried for salmon last fall for the first time. Only got out 2 times last fall. Didn't land anything, but had something take a spoon once. I'm limited to using dipsies, but I'm ok with that. Look forward to putting the boat in the water soon. The discussion on this board and all the pics are very motivating. I'm an absolute newbie that wants to learn. If you have room for one more on your boat and are willing to share your knowledge, I'm willing to pay for my share of fuel and bring snacks and refreshments. Hopefully I'll be able to post some pics at some point this season. Hope to meet some of you soon.
  3. anyone know the most reasonably priced placed to slip a 19ft runabout in sodus bay? Don't need shorepower or water. Just a slip. Thanks.
