Page 67 of the new Fishing Regulations Guide- 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset is permitted, or 1/2 hour after sunset to 1/2 hour before sunrise is prohibited is their wording on it.

He's not gone yet, hopefully he won't do any more damage in the next 2 weeks.  He SHOULD be gone immediately.

Just looked up and saw that Monroe County is having a public hearing on the matter July 13th: 

Updated as of June 24th- still surprised no action in some WNY counties:  Counties that have adopted a local law to allow 12 and 13 year olds to hunt deer with a firearm or crossbow (ny.gov)

Jefferson & Lewis counties have opted in.

Did some research, looks like Wayne County is having a public hearing on it June 15th.  Ontario County may have it on their agenda tonight.

I heard from a reliable source last night that the Livingston County Board of Supervisors has approved of, and will opt-in for the youth hunt.

Be forewarned if you plan to purchase a firearm......

I think a key will be to contact your respective county legislator to make sure it is on their radar, the more noise the better chances of the county passing it. Unfortunately I could see some counties not opting in, for no particular reason.

Took a ride down this AM, fair number of pike and suckers in the stream, but nothing huge size wise. Water is low, like everywhere else, just barely a trickle coming over the dam. Imagine several days or a week before the eyes start moving, but they are going to need some rain to get to the dam.

Just an FYI for anyone who takes their venison to Swans: They are temporarily closed due to an employee having contact with someone who tested positive for Covid. All are being tested , will post when they are re-opened.
