Hey Guys,
I also posted this in the 2008 Lake Ontario Fishing Season Kickoff thread, but the new Dreamweaver products that Billy posted will be on display and available for sale at the fishinbg Expo.
I gotta start putting away more money

Further update,
- Food will be available at the Expo (good thing )
- Door Prizes from NK, Dreamweaver, Yeck, A-Tom-Mik, Walker and Slide Diver (Each will have a dedicated hour where 4 entrance tickets will be drawn during that hour for the prizes)
- The new products from Dreamweaver that have been put on other threads will be on display and available for sale at the Expo.
I'm sure there will be more to come. Stay tuned.

Ray,
I have a 2 battery setup on my boat and I have the Guest 2611A installed, 10 Amp 5/5 two banks and it works great. I have it plugged in all the time when it's sitting in the slip (don't want the battery to go dead and not operate the bilge pump).
Even when the boat is sitting on the trailer in my yard, I plug it in overnight and the batteries are always fully charged the next morning.
the 20 amp charger may be overkill and an un-needed expense. You won't go wrong with it, but that level may not be necessary or worth the added expense.

Will it ever be enough?? When do these tackle buying binges end??
i think many of us struggle with that same tackle addiction
I don't struggle with it, I embrace it

Sounds like a great event. Can't wait!!! Put up a couple flyers at work - hope you have a good turn out. Do you need any flyers put up anywhere?
Shawn
Sure, anywhere you want to put them up would be great. THat's kind of the idea of having the downloadable flier up on the site.
Thanks,
Tim

Kickoff the Lake Ontario fishing season by spending Sunday February 24th learning from some of the best Captains on the lake. Formal presentations will be given by Bob Stevens (Sunrise Charters) on Spring Shoreline Brown Trout, Captain Vince Pierleoni (Thrillseeker) on Western Basin Spring Kings, Ernie Lantiegne (Fish Doctor) on Derby Winning Techniques and Frank Campbell (Niagara Region Charters) on Niagara River Steelhead. In addition, over 25 Charter Captains will be available in the Expo area to talk fishing and answer your questions. It’s also a great opportunity to get ready for the season by upgrading your Tackle and Equipment by shopping in the Expo so that you’re ready to go when the weather breaks in the Spring. See WWW.LOTSA.ORG for all of the details.

hate to send ya packing but go to www.attheoak.com and find post by "total team chaos" and there is some good details there.
Brian (Total Chaos) has lots of good stuff on his website. He used to have a great, very active message board too untill the dirtbag spammers/hackers screwed with it one too many times and he scrapped it.

Bob,
Garelick does make a swim platform kicker bracket, but I can't say first hand how they work. I have a full width teak swim platform on the back of my Thompson that I don't want to remove to put a kicker on (that's where the 176 qt cooler goes ), and found this one last year when researching options:

I haven't done anything about a kicker yet so I haven't tried it myself.

New Fishing Show for 2008 - The Lake Ontario Trout & Salmon Association (LOTSA) will be putting on a Lake Ontario / Niagara River Fishing Expo and Flea Market on Sunday February 24, 2008. The show will be held in the Cornell Cooperative Extension, 4H Center in Lockport, New York. It will run from 10am to 4pm with Seminars running on the hour by some very well known Charter Captains. The expo will feature many Charter Captains and Tackle Manufacturers talking fishing, showing off their latest tackle and selling used tackle at Flea Market prices. A full day admission pass will be a $5 donation to the Pen Rearing programs. So, save the date and come join us for an early kickoff to the 2008 fishing season! See here for more information: http://www.lotsa.org/2008%20EXPO.htm

Makes sense to me. You get what you ordered, then you complete the transaction.

not on the clicker, just back the drag off so it creeps out under tension. That way the dipsey fishes it's way on out to it's final destination.

always get the starboard wire diver started first, then as that is in the rod holder creeping out, I drop the probe rigger (also starboard). Repeat the procedure on port side, core/copper after those are down and set.
It's great when that first diver rod gets whacked as it's creeping out while I'm setting the probe rigger. Happens quite a bit.

Sounds good Bill,
Hey did you get the e-mail I sent the other day about LOTSA's upcoming event?

Guys, here's a link to Capt. John DeLorenzo's web site with some basic rigging tips for fishing the Lower.

Actually, I've seen side by side tests done on the same boat, there is no less blowback on a DR probe (I have a DR), the ST and DR probes are the same diameter, the DR probe is just shorter, the diameter is what makes resistance, not the length.
