The white prop appears to be the long shaft which is the third item listed. The Johnston, black prop appears to be a standard shaft which is the fourth one listed. Wish I lived closer myself to view these first hand.

Do not forget to add in the items that you can not put a price tag on. Most of my trips are with my dad. He is the first male in my family to live past 62. The rest of the trips are spent with my family and friends. The time spent with these guys and girls is worth way more than all my cost multiplied.

This is my 240 Fisherman by Thompson.

Lost almost all my copper on my 400' rig. Had Blood Run super copper and it worked fine. Looking to pick up a new spool of 400' to respool before the season. I live over 400 miles from the lake so it will have to be a place on the internet. Looking for suggestions for the bets economical price and brand. What you like about it and do not.

Very nice. Enjoyed that on this cold winter day. Mouth watering in anticipation of my first Trip to the big lake in May. Praying for warmer days to start melting the ice and snow to once again be able to launch our boats.

Yamaha has what they call Helm Master. You can actually walk the boat sideways and "park" between two boats at a dock. you operate with your steering wheel like normal. when you want to use the system you hit a switch and then use a joystick for control. Only to be used at slow speeds for maneuverability. I saw this in action on the Ship Shape TV show.

I pee in a bottle bit my friend pees in a mock scrape in front of his stand. He has a ton of trail can pictures that says it does not bother the deer.

I was thinking brown trout at first, buy after thinking some more I think it is the lake trout. 

Now i also see that Chas0218 is also thinking the same.

Is your motor electric start or pull start? If electric there should be a grounding wire from the battery to the frame work of the motor or boat. if so you can undo the nut and add a ring terminal and wire to the sub troll. If pull start I would think you could just find a bolt on the motor and ground it there. If it is an aluminum boat you can just find a bolt on the boat to ground it.

Those crazy fish at the back of the boat are the ones you will remember forever. If you are catching keep doing what you are doing and let the fun times and memories add up.

I have been using 30 lb. mono without issue (no snubber). That being said I am going heavier next year. I feel 20 lb. is too light.

I think John worded it very well. I own a 24 Thompson Fisherman and love the boat right now. Yes in some conditions it has exhibited some tipsiness, These conditions have been in waves over five feet and we should have probable called it a day before the conditions reached this level. I really like the high sides and full transom. I bring some young fisherman on board and this adds to the safety of my trips.

Thank you for your answers. I will need to look up that scale in a couple of minutes. Question three was more dirrected to the swivel base on the stern just to your left, my right looking at you.in the photo.

Nick, I have three questions for you.

1. What brand scale is that? Looks interesting.

2. Can you post a picture of that Pohonche apple picker?

3. In the last photo you have what I believe to be the Trax Tech alum. swivel base. How do you like it? Does it seam sturdy.     I am having issues with my Cannon swivels and may be upgrading soon.

50# Big game is all you need. I think it holds up better than the florocarbon, cheaper, and easier to hold knots.

Guys, 

Fished the Fair Haven Challenge yesterday. Come in 11th place. First thing in the morning we were in 110 feet of water just to the east of the shoot, right in front of the second dirt wall. The bite stopped around 10am.  We had a lot of colder water in the corner. We had 44 deg. water down 85 feet. Catching kings 50 to 75 feet down and good lakers below that.
