  1. I usually start by drifting threw an area. If it is good I will drift it again. If I find a small area that is hot I will throw a bouy out and come back and anchor there. If I am in an area I do not fish often I will use my ff to look at an area. Which lake are you interested in learning.

  2. For Sale a 2005 StarCraft Islander 221. It is in very good shape and is a dry boat that runs great. It comes with a custom soft top that is 6' 6" tall. It has a new drop curtain a tonneau cover and a heavy duty snap on travel cover. It has a 3 liter Volvo engine and Volvo outdrive. The engine and outdrive are serviced yearly by Hank at  L&M Marine.

  3. Are you checking the voltage difference whilye on the trailer or in the water? Be sure the zinc's are cleaned (get all the white fuzzy stuff off) and the grounds on the engine mount are clean also.

    Disconnect the battery and see what you read.... If 0 then you have a connection leaking somewhere. Reconnect the battery and disconnect one lead at a time from the bus bar until you find the culprit. Then trouble shoot that circuit.

    Another thing to look at is the downrigger itself. The cable may be isolated from the boat grounds because of the plastic frame. :thinking:
