  1. Not sure I think its kinda like giving your radio a phone number and if you give it out to your buddy he can call you and if its set up right he will see were you are on your gps screen and visevursa. I installed it on the boat today. I let you know more as I figure it out.

  2. Any of you guys hook your radio (with digital select calling DSC)up to your gps so you can see each others location on the lake? I just replace my radio and the new one has it? Just curious to how many of you guys have it hooked and what you think of it.

  3. Took the dog for a boat ride tonight 6pm to 8pm. The water out front (Sandy creek Hamlin) looks good nice brown to green color as you move out to 15fow, temp in the mid 40s. Ran 2 lines ,7 to 12fow and only one knock off. This sure is a wierd start to the season. Hopefully the lake will set up so we can tune in to the fish. The forcast doesnt look to good with south and east winds.

  4. Well, went out of sandy creek bout 5 oclock pm. Trolled all the way down to Hamlin beach not a bit 12- 8 fow, running rapalas orange chatruse perch colors and a mix of nks of the rigger 3-5 foot down. Pulled up reset up before cow suckers, trolled around with really long leads 75-100 ft off the boards and rigger. Got on Steelie just before the sun hit the horizon. the temp down there was 47 and the fish came in 12 fow on orange rapala.I think the fish are very shy and we need more guys out there fishing so they get use to the boat traffic. It was great out on the lake tonight calm and clear nice sunset to boot. :) I will be out Sunday morning and I bet the catch will be better.

  5. I run 3 point hooks , I know alot of guys run singls, less chance of break off and possible a bettter hook set. With 3 pt the line can get caught where the hooks join, I know of a guy that puts solder at that point to keep line from getting in there. I have never had the problem of break off. I like my chances with more points to set more hooks. Although I do have a few single hook spoons for a diffrent action.

  6. I owned a Logic/ Triumph 17 center console, great boat. had a four stroke Yamaha. That thing was a stealth for fishing. The boat floated in 6 inches of water and the four stroke was so quiet I always had to see if water was coming out of the engine, to see if it was running. Boat was very light, great on gas and easy to trailor.

I traded it for a bigger boat ,but I do miss that boat in the spring when the lake is calm and you need to be stealthy. I would recomend it, I dont think you will be diapointed.

  7. Has anyone tried one of those salwater type teaser rigs. Its like 2 peices of wire crossed and a bunch of hookless lures comeing of it except for one that hangs back a little further it has a hooks? Think I might try this set up if I can get it to hook on the rigger, maybe Ill use the rubberband method. Just wondering if anyone has tried it yet and what the out come was.

  8. I also did well infront of Sandy Sat. useing pretty much same Lures as you. If you think Saturday rough, Sunday we had 2- 4 footer with a 5 or so footer thrown in for fun, and I saw a guy in a duck boat and one in a maybe 14 footer, oh and there was someone anchored right at the mouth between the 2 jetties. I didnt get any fish Sunday but thought for sure I would be pulling someone out of the drink.
