Welcome to the site. Ya better hang on to your hat when you're out there. The lake can go from 1-2's to 6-7's pretty quick. I don't know the length of your boat, but if it's a small one, pick your days carefully and keep your eyes windward for unexpected weather.

Looks great. Just out of curiosity, what brand of pickling spice do you use? I make pickles and the brands vary quite a bit in taste sometimes.
Thanks

Gluvit isnt really the product for that issue. It is meant more for seam and loose rivet leaks.
There is a product that you weld aluminum with just using a propane torch that has worked for me.
You may find it locally at Cabellas.

Also check the L.O.U. Sponsors in the Business to Consumer section in our classifieds. There's older posts advertising fly tying material if you go thru the pages, or do a search.

I am toying with the idea of changing 2 old electric Big Jon down riggers into power planer board masts. Did anybody try this? If you did ,how did it work?
Cornelis.
I've pulled my homemades AND otter boats with my big jons, no problem.
PS: so far Also, I use shower clips and rubber bands for my releases.
Happy Birthday Irish Knots
