Umm Ray, take a few deep breaths and repeat after me "The fish didn't talk to me, the fish didn't talk to me, the fish......." Spring will be here shortly, I promise.

As long as there's a campground close by. It sounds like fun.

I am really lookin forward to getting out on the lake this year. It's gonna take a while to get used to the unit. Old dogs don't learn tricks as fast as they used to.

some guys can judge their down speed and which way the down currents are going without a probe simply by watching the angle of the cable due to blowback.

Ahh yes, the old angle of the dangle theory.

i have used 5 different siliverado 5.3 ltr chev 1500 (1/2 ton) trucks
to tow a 2359 trophy about 5000 lbs plus equip/trailer etc. never had
any prob. I believe there rated for 8500 lbs.

In one year? Time to get a Ford.
-
Tom, you might want to think ahead and go with a F250 (3/4 ton) & that way if you get a bigger boat in 1 or 2 years you'll already have the truck to tow it. A 1/2 ton will do just fine for 1500lbs, but if you go bigger it's nice to have the proper suspension & a lot easier towing. Just a thought.

i think it has to do with how long your hair is in a strong wind ,,Inever had that problem Im bald <<<<
Was that a result of blow-off?

Thanks Billy, I checked ebay but nothing there. It looks like I'll have to bite the bullet & the next time I take the girlfriend for a ride we'll stop in there.
