  1. Shumway had a bunch of boats broken into the night of the storm. (Last Monday) I'm not sure whose boat they were but all of these kids were from Irondequoit and that's where Shumway is.... At least they found the culprits.

    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

Left work early and got on the water around 5:30 pm. The boats at the dock said fishing was tough in the morning. Did a beautiful 8# brown 55 ft. over 105 fow on a Stingray NBK. Lost another decent brown 65 ft. over 105 fow on a Mullato Mag. Lost a nice fish on the 400 ft. copper Green dot spin dr, big fin fly. Probably a big laker or brown as it just bull dogged and wouldn't give up much line. A couple more releases and we packed up around 6:45 as the storms looked like they were heading our way. We marked a few fish but nothing great. Nice to get out for a little while as this weekend looks like crap.

    Good Fishing

  3. Thanks for the offer Nick. We were looking to take a family trip up there over the 4th of July and stay on the boat. The kids would like the pool and restaurant. I might drive up this weekend to check everything out for myself in person. I saw that the place was for sale at $2.2 million. :itwasntme: I knew about the bad rap from years ago but it has always looked like a nice place in comparison to other marinas on Lake Ontario.

    Thanks for the info guys.

  4. I'm looking to upgrade my boat stereo, speakers, amp & maybe sub. Does anyone know of an installer local to the Rochester area? The boat is not trailerable so the installer would have to come to the boat. I spoke to someone at the Stereo Shop the other day just wondering if there is anyone else in town.

    Thanks,

    John

  5. Doug,

Just be careful with a portable generator on your boat. The Carbon Monoxide fumes are extremely dangerous. I was thinking of getting a small Honda generator for overnights without shore power to run the air and read some interesting (scary) write ups on Thehulltruth.com about them. I have since decided against it. Just my two cents.
