  1. It is a pain to get them, but they do help to enforce the rules. I like to think of all the people that I would have never met if it werent for the fact that they were observers. Some have become good friends over the years. Like paul said, ask the directors from each port and they usually know of somebody willing to do it. If you are looking for Niagra contact Bill Hilts Jr, or sometimes they even have names at the Newfane Marina.

  2. The evening bite is usually pretty good. Sometimes I even think its better. If you are in an area where there is a lot of pressure in the a.m., the afternoon can be great since most have gone home. Same program as the morning. As evening falls you can push shallower if conditions allow.

  3. I would probably wait til the browns push deeper 20'+ and then run them off the riggers. I have never ran them in the short water. Cohos in the short water will hit just about anything so save yourself the break offs.

  4. Really Matt... Sodus? With the exception of land trolling it has to be one of the toughest ports to fish on the lake. The consistency of fishing is terrible. I vote somewhere between Rochester and the Oak. Its all good, except for the weekend of the pro-am
