November 24 pm 39 degrees SE wind 5-15 Cloudy Finally they cut the corn at this property, over 100 acres. It's nice to have a open line of sight. Action started about 345. Three small bucks tonight, a doe with two fawns, and a giant doe. Hoping this spot is a late season Mecca! Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

So last night, my kid and i walk out to my truck after hunting. The neighbor approaches us and asks if we happen to shoot a deer that we never found. I ask him why? He says because there is a dead deer laying next to his car in the driveway. I had to go see of course. Turns out it's a deer I have all over my cameras. I'm guessing 2.5 year old. He was gut shot and died in this guys lawn. Looks like he was shot on Thanksgiving across the street and died there overnight Thursday. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

November 24 pm 31 degrees S wind 5 mph Cloudy I guess it all in where you hunt. I saw zero deer tonight. My kid... Close to 20. Almost every deer came out of the standin corn and went right into the thick stuff. Everything seen tonight was after 5:00 also. Heard a ton of shooting from 2 to about four and then it got quiet. After 5 it picked up again and the last shot I heard was at 525. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

November 23 am 11 degrees SE wind 5-15 mph Cloudy Extremely cold start this morning. I noticed a ton of fresh tracks in the snow on the way in. More tracks then I have seen all year. Another just deer tracks but dog tracks. This weather has the fox and coyotes moving. Never saw a deer on stand this morning. It's just that time of year. With all the snow some areas have, the number one priority for deer is food. Im sure this has set them in a survival mode prematurally but the deer aren't ready to leave yet. Between the weather, lockdown, and gun season pressure it will certainly make for a challenge the next couple of weeks. Or at least until the snow melts! Short term looks like we have a major cold front coming overnight tonight but a warming trend through the weekend. Long term projections just dont show major relief. Looks like a majority of the remaining hunting days left will be below average temps.

November 20 pm 35 degrees NW wind 5-15 mph cloudy flurries The woods is too quiet. Had a couple deer moving in the thick stuff about 4pm but never came out. I still have standing corn on two of the properties I hunt and I really think it is affecting things. The deer know it is there and even with snow on the ground, food is not scarce.
