November 16 pm 41 degrees WNW wind 5-20 mph Cloudy Some good action this afternoon from the second I sat down. Dozen does and fawns. 4 bucks. 3 1.5 year olds and the floppy eared stud. I noticed the does I saw were crazy skittish. I'm sure they are sick of the harassment. On the way out between the stand and the truck in the adjacent field, I bumped over 2 dozen deer. They were apparently pounding the picked butternut squash field. I was also greeted by a skunk. We made eye contact and slowly gave each other distance and allowed each other to pass. Clock is ticking... Sent from my moto z4 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Just had another encounter with the big buck that I saw on Sunday afternoon and also Monday morning. He came out and worked a few scrapes down the edge of the field before dipping back into the woods. Oddly he has a big sticker on his right side that seems to interfere with his ear. He literally looks "floppy eared" every time I see him. Strange. Sent from my moto z4 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Been on stand since about 230 or so and have been covered in deer. This is the first sit in this set. This set actually hung about 40 yards away and I hunted it on a much different wind. Now it is set for West or Nw preferably. Better entry point. Better line of sight. I like it much better. Sent from my moto z4 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Took the savage 220 to the range one last time before the opener. I can't say enough about that gun. Thank you to whoever convinced me in buying that model. I know most of you are shooting rifles at this point and there is only a few of us left hunting in a shotgun only area. Sent from my moto z4 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

November 16 am 35 degrees SW wind 5-15 mph Cloudy Snow turning to light rain Well for the first time this year I hunted over snow. It was just a light dusting but it was the first for me. Although a picture perfect morning the action was quite slow. I had an unknown deer walk by in the dark just as I say down. About 930 I had a shooter 8pt come by just out of range. 45 yards or so. That's the second time this week I had a mature buck hug that edge of the pinch and just out of range. That would be it for my 4 hr morning sit. November 14 am 33 degrees NW wind 5 -10 mph Cloudy Late start at work this morning so I spent a few hours in a tree. Had another encounter with the same big buck from yesterday. Had him at 40 yards at 645 this morning but no chance at a clean shot. As cold as it has been I figured it would have been an action packed morning but I only saw 3 total. 1 mature buck, 1 young buck, and a fawn. Sent from my moto z4 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

November 13 35 degrees W wind 5-10 mph Cloudy Rain becoming snow Got in the stand today about 930 or so and left at dark. Handful of bucks and a handful of does/fawns. Never saw another deer after 130. Had a hell of encounter with a 150" buck but never gave me a shot. Maybe I would have had an opportunity if it wasn't dead silent in the woods. Ozone and Scent Crusher I dont know who you are but if you are not 100 percent convinced in ozone technology you are truly missing out. I purchased my Scent Crusher tote a few years back (possibly 3 years ago). When I did purchase it, I mentioned on the yearly hunting thread but I havent said too much about it. I have been a bit reluctant to praise it until I was confident in it and it has my confidence 1 million percent. This has been a amazing addition to my normal scent control measures but attention to wind is still 100% for me on stand selection. My experience so far has been downwind deer seemed to be unafraid of the smell of the ozone. It seems like half of them pay no attention to it and the others recognize it as a foreign smell, hesitate a bit but yet have no fear of it. I have yet to have an extremely negative reaction so far except late season when there is just less natural scents in the air. I believe its use with leaves on the trees is amazing but it loses its effectiveness with snow on the ground. Similar to what you see with normal scent control measures throughout the course of the year. I have been covered in deer so far this year and it has been 100% effective. Both bucks I killed last year walked to me after passing through downwind. My bow buck was 10 yards directly down wind and my muzzleloader buck was 60. They were both killed shortly after passing through. Any other believers???

November 12 am 50 degrees W wind 10-20 Cloudy with occasional rain Great morning sit! Lots of action which I guess is expected for this time of year. Hunted a new set for the first time today and It's gonna be a good one. I think as the year goes I think it only gets better. 90 percent of what I tend to hunt is edges of fields and pinch points and this is located in the middle of prime bedding. I have always treated it as a sanctuary but I found a great access point that allows me to sneak in there. So what did I see today? 12 does and fawns and 8 bucks. Two mature bucks (one shooter and one old decline buck), couple of 2.5 year olds, and the rest 1.5 year olds. Buck observations... I never witnessed them act like rut crazed bucks. All of them were alone. Zero chasing. Just simply cruising. Sent from my moto z4 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Ugh... Long week at work. Slept in this morning and woke up late. Told myself it was too late to hunt this morning. Planned on just sitting on the sidelines and hunting the afternoon. Sucking down a cup of coffee and flipping through the threads on LOU and thought to myself everyone is putting the smack down in bucks right now. I gotta get out there. Apparently the pictures on this thread were the motivation I needed. Hustled to get out of the house and sat down in the tree stand at 620. Thanks for the motivation LOU!!!!
