I found the leaderboard on the Orleans County Tourism website. Just google Orleans Rotary Derby Leaderboard and you should find it. There's a 31 lb 2 oz fish winning it right now. There is a post a few down that wondered the same thing. Sorry I'm not great at posting links.

I've only been running the 300 coppers that way also. That could be why it's not slipping out. Does anyone use a bigger rubber band half hitched to the power pro, and put in the release? I can see where over time the braid is going to wear out. This is only my second year running the copper so I guess I'm still learning also.

I think a lot of boats around here are using the scotty releases. If you buy the stacker release you get 2 releases in the pack, and you just have to cut and put a snap on one of them. they are usually cheaper this way than buying 2 seperate releases anyways. My copper ran fine with just the power pro in the release.

Way to go on the steelie Rick. You knocked my brothers off the board yesterday for sure. I fished with Old timer when he put his steelie on the board, and his is now in 9th. We were out yesterday also ,but headed east and out, only to find we should have went west. Didn't hear ya on the radio, or I would have chatted with ya. Way to go

Most Teams I would believe Am and Pro Pay their observers $50-$75/per day. I believe this is the going rate.

I just got home from a morning trip and we definately felt it here in Lyndonville. The whole house shook. As far as the fishing, it was great this morning before the earthquake.

Way to go. We went out with family derby fishing the same day and weighed in a big steelie that was 13+ on my scale but when we got back it only was 11 11. Our fish probably won't hold , but good luck with yours. It sure tasted good with bbq sauce,cajun seasoning, brown sugar, and butter though.

The one out deeper was out in 130+ fow this am. It must have got blown out further with last weekends wind. Be carefull around them.

There is a second bouy out in about 120 fow a little west of the other one also.

Try Toronto charter fishing in a search engine, or check out the spoon pullers site to the left of the screen under LOU Friends. I believe spoon pullers is a mostly Canadien based site. If you go back and check out the North Shore reports on this site for that time period, it should give you a pretty good idea of the fishing around that time. Hope this helps
