Some people are just jealous watching the center pinners putting them to shame every time they are out on the tribs. I know i am and that's why I plan on getting one. I'm going to use 2lb test so hopefully I can break every one off....lol

Headed to Venice FL on April 1st - the 8th. My mother is a snowbird so I end up there every year. I was there last year at the end of March and did some bottom fishing 55 miles out in the gulf. What a great time. We caught a mixed bag of fish including Gag and Red Grouper, Red Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Lane Snapper and Yellowtail Snapper, Sharks including a 7' blacktip, Remoras, Bonita, Amberjacks (had our limit in 5 minutes), King fish and even a Wahoo. This was the best fishing trip I have ever been on and it was only $200. Even the girlfriend was into them good.

Anyone know where I can find accurate West End Challenge Cup results? The results provided a few weeks ago were not correct and I can’t find the correct results anywhere. It's been almost 3 weeks so I'm sure they have been calculated.

Our team, Kingfisher won the big fish and took second in the 3 fish total. Big fish was 24.2 and our 3 fish box was a little over 56 pounds. I believe there were 80 teams entered in Olcott. Big fish paid $1,250 and the 3 fish total paid $1,000. It was a great derby and I can't wait to fish the one at the Oak!

That seems crazy that they would make you send two checks and two applications. I'm surprised they didn't ask for a third for the challenge cup. Maybe they are in some way affiliated with the postal service and trying to increase revenue.

Try the KOA north in Lewiston NY. They have camp sites, travel trailers, and 1 and 2 room cabins for rent. It's a nice place and about 5 minutes from the launch at Fort Niagara State Park.

It was a tough day but we got our fish. Good luck to all headed out for the derby.
