Great Catch Guys. Great to see those Kings have come into the area.

I was informed Frank does not put his docks in until May.

The water level has come quite a bit but I have not checked out Franks. 

Left the launch at 9am for a short shake down. Very dirty water in front with 37 -degree water temp. Started in 10 fow with 35-degree water with good watercolor. Started with a West Troll at 1.7 mph. Ran two inline boards set out 75 on the deep side with a large size Bay Rat Fluorescent Green body bait set out 60 behind the board.  The inside board was set out 80 feet out with a large size Smithwick Fire Tiger set out at 70 behind the board. First hit came on the inside board in front of Newmans Point. Good Brown which I lost at the boat. Next hit came on the outside board just before the water plant. That fish was a spawned-out Brown. 

About 10:30 I noticed the wind turned to the East and increased. I trolled back to Newmans and pulled lines.

Warmest water was 37 degrees right at the mouth. I mainly fished 35-degree water at 1.7 to 2.2

I called a couple of marinas in the area and here are their replies based on a 20 footer:

Westpoint Marina   $1799.00   only asked about A Dock

                                $1100.00   Shallow water area  (shortened season)

Manitou Beach Marina    $1395.00  

I called Bald Eagle, but they did not pick up

So, given the elimination of the mile plus trip to the open lake, good water depth all season, gas, restroom facilities, rejuvenated dock facilities, and marina launch, if the price is $65.00 a ft, as some have stated on this tread, it is in the range of dock prices in the area. Yes, the channel may be an issue, However, branches can be cleared and there have been many 26 footers pass through the channel without an issue all season. 

I am sure both East Fork and Sleepy Hallow Marinas price their dock fees accordingly to conditions listed above. 
As a longtime friend of both existing marina owners, I wish success to all the marinas on the creek. It will only make for better fishing conditions as the state may again see the creek as a high use area and provide increased stocking in the area. This is why the state provided the current launch.

The marina has been idle for a number of years. The new owner has been renovating for the last couple of years to get it in operating status. As a neighbor of the marina, the renovation is a welcomed activity and look forward to the improvements planned. 

Not sure where Google gets their information, I will pass that along to Vince.

To answer the marina depth question.... Vince can give you more specific information but I know the marina has plenty of depth. Right now there are three fingers of shallow water where the main dock fingers will be placed above. The channel going out to the main creek can get shallow (4') in late fall. I am not sure where Vince plans on placing the limited docks, he is planning on putting in, but I am sure Vince will place them accordingly. 

The best would be to give Vince a call and set up time to tour the marina. I am sure he would answer all questions.
