On the Lam...I think it will catch as many, but it is overbuilt and the plug, the hooks, and the split rings won't pull out, won't break, and will stand up to that once in a lifetime tank that just inhaled it

Buddy just posted pics on FB of a ton of ice now in Upper Niagara...have they started pulling boom?
-
That silver is a king

At this point I'm PRAYING, they either need to pull this weekend or just hold off until after WHI...
-
Maybe the Kenton Bee knows more than we do..."Boom Days" starts this Saturday, the 18th

There is still loose pack ice at least as far West as Erie, PA
-
I'm with you Salmonboy...lots of warmer air and water between PA / OH line and the river. Supposedly a flight to check ice condition, coverage, and thickness is happening tomorrow...hat tip, Buffalo News
-
By the way...do you / Kevin have a list of confirmed entries to post yet?
-
Hope you are correct Rick. NEED to get that boom pulled and let the ice get out of the Erie system so it can WARM. There is water as warm as 54 degrees in the western basin that isn't flowing east until we can flush the ice out into Lady O. GLFCS data is on a WEIRD time schedule right now and the forecasting isn't nearly as promising as it was only a day or two ago.

Tlr426...that has been corrected at www.bayratlures.com
You should be able to process an order for north of the border now
-
Today and tomorrow should beat on it...forecast here, 35 miles south of Erie, PA is sun and 65 today, rain and 70 tomorrow
-
There are some 50 degree surface temps in the western basin of Erie already...love to see some of that come east
-
That a boy Vinnie!!! I LOVE the idea of a RAPID warm up!!!!!
-
This evidently represents 250 sq miles:
-
If you watch the animation, there is a RAPID degradation of cover and thickness between now and the 13th (kinda fun to watch). It also notes that the mean thickness of the remaining ice is down to 7.2cm (2.83 inches) at that point in time.

I heard the Sac was hurting but Klamath & Rogue were holding their own.
-
Baitrigger...what the hell happened to April 1st or 20% ? We are ahead of last year by all the statistical data.
-
I know the pack that is left out in front of Erie, PA is about to drown...nothing but rain in the forecast (some heavy like tonight's forecast) has the pack about drowned...
-
Based upon this:

And the current rate of degradation of ice...

I've fished with many other brands that "cheap out" with low quality hooks and/or split rings, don't design the bait so that the terminal connections are anchored to the bait as robust as possible, and use lower quality plastic to mold them and consequently watch a big fish literally snap the back end of the bait off
