  1. A pair of Riviera folding Triple ski planer boards...they are in close to new condition and pull hard..I ran a 600' and a 300' copper off them last year with no problem.............

    ................... $120 or best offer............................................................................

I live in the Albany area and have a camp on Mexico bay...you can pick them up or I'll ship them the cheapest way I can ( buyer payes the shipping)

  2. You'll probably need a couple trolling bags to slow your speed and keep your rpm up on the outboard (burns cleaner and keeps oil pressure up)

Daiwa Accudepth Plus reels a good value and hold up well, Daiwa Heartland or Shimano TDR rod are a good choice and won't break the bank. I've gone to shorter rods (7') and like them, there are plenty of guys who like the longer rods, I find the short rods handle easier in a smaller boat.

A good Spring tactic is to run your lures away from the boat. The simplest way is long (150'+) flat lines behind the boat. You can run more rods and a better spread using planer boards. I prefer a mast and ski setup but smaller size inline boards are cheaper and easier to set up.

You can use relativly light line (10-12 lb) for stickbaits (F9, F11 Rapalas...Thuderstick Jr...Smithwick Rouges are good coices) and spoons (reg size Stingers, NK28s or EvilEyes are good choices

20 - 25 lb test mono will let you use your dipseys in shallow water...65lb braid or better yet 30lb wire will let you use your dipseys as the fish move deeper. (2 or 3 wire dipsies are a good option if you don't have downriggers, and you'll use them after you get some riggers)

You'll need rod holders, Tite Loks are inexpensive and will do what you need, later on, two heavier holders should be added for your deep dipseys ( I like Berts)

There is definetly a place for Dodgers/Flashers and flies but they will come into their own later in the season, a good selection of darker and lighter colored sticks and spoons (use several split shot to keep spoons down) will catch a lot of fish in the spring

    good luck, Joe

  3. ReelPower

I use that same setup for my 450 copper...I have 4 reels that are non levelwind.....It didn't take long to get used to it...but...when someone else is on the rod, reminders are needed or what A-Tom-Mik detailed will happen.............If you're going to sell it let me know what you want for it

  4. I'd be happy to sign a petition, I've signed many over the years.....but I don't think it'll make any differance...I don't think the legislators in this state care what you or I think..or whats important to us. As far as Democrat or Republican, at the state level I don't see much differance.. I don't hear any of them speaking out for us, or whats right and just..They sit in thier custom made suits, ride in thier limos, take private jets to free junkets,,, and look down thier noses at us, until they need our vote, I think it's time to vote them all out.

question; What is the #1 job of any politition?

    answer ; To get re-elected

until that changes, nothing will change ----- TERM LIMITS

Most of them have served muliple terms, continuing to get re-elected while continuing to fiddle as Rome burns....

I believe if we have any chance to have our views heard and get some action on our behalf it will come from the local level...from elected people we have accsess to. People who don't have to worry about missing out on the "perks" ... people who still live and work and raise thier families where thier constituants live, and who hear us...now if we can get them to act ... Also it's easier to educate voters and get the right people elected at the local level than at the state or god forbid...the national level

There's a lot of good info on this site regarding the waste and mismanagment in this great state of "OURS" (see the post on windmills in L.O.,, petition for a three rod rule, etc))... I don't think the desicion makers care at all what we think or want, or whats best for the state....and I don't think how much we hollar, yell or petition it'll make any differance..

"IT MAKES BLOOD SHOOT OUT OF MY EYES" but I don't know what to do about it....the Two State Solution makes sense to me, but thats been talked about for many years, and I don't believe will ever happen....Any ideas, movements, petitions etc. that are generated will have my support in time, effort and donation

sorry for my meandering rant, I wish I could say I feel better now

    Joe (Gotaway)

  5. I'm looking to get a pair of triple ski boards.....or a set of plans to build my own.......

I'm not satisfied with the two differant plastic folding boards I have or several sets I've made ..... they're OK for shore line spring work but I'm looking for something stable and with more "pull" for use with copper.......I know Otter Boats are a good option but I fish out of a 19er and storage is an issue

    thanks, Joe

If you have any experiance with triple boards let me know how yopu liked them
