  1. You should call Bear (tournament director) at 607-387-5576 to see if he will take a check.
  2. I use the Torpedo Weighted Steel line with 19 stranded wire backing. I have three lengths that I use for silver fishing mostly. Lengths of 50, 100, and 200 feet. Basically that covers 10, 20, and 40 feet down. I can get some adjustments to those numbers with additional snap weights. It has a different movement compared to lead core and can work very well with flutter spoons. Best thing to do is get your setups and use a TD Fishawk and make your own dive charts. Hope this helps.
  3. I have been using weighted steel for the last three or four years with no problems as far as the fleas are concerned.

  6. Thank you for the information. That was very helpful. Does anyone have any information on letting out more 19 stranded wire affecting the dive curve?
  7. Does anyone know what the dive chart is for weighted steel? The website states 20 feet deep/hundred feet of weighted steel. Also if you use the 19 stranded wire and let out additional wire will the steel continue to drop and at what rate? I understand boat type and speed will change this just trying to get averages. 50 foot section ???? 100 foot section ???? 200 foot section ???? 300 foot section ???? Thank you.
  8. Wow, great fish congratulations.
