  2. Went up for a long weekend with a friend of mine who's never been there before, thought i would show him some lake o browns on lite tackle . Well i think he's hooked we couldn't catch a brown but did go 3 for 7 on kings javascript:emoticon(':lol:')(what a surprise using lite tackle and all off the boards) also caught 2 small cohos. We stayed at the anchor resort what great people, Thanks Billy V for the recommendation also it was finely good to put a face with that screen name . Met a lot of great people on this trip and can't wait to return on 8/17 Bill:

  4. Hi Bill fair haven's having a tuff start to the spring. well haven't been there for 20 years but comming up the 7th to the 11th staying at the anchor resort.   7. Yankee is that the blacks release? does that have a snap swiviel whereyou have it to the downrigger hook? Thanks bill
  8. Thanks long and J.D The only releases that i've used were cannons attached to the ball. I'm new to this D.R do i have to strip the coated cable as it goes through the walker termanator and release, and the extra 6"does that need to be striped? Also is there need to use the rubber tape they give with the walker set up. Doesn't the extra cable just wrap around the screw and get tightend on the walker release? What is the porpose of the set screw? Sorry about the amount of questions just want to do it the right way and who better to ask than you people on this sight with all the expearance..... I used to charter with a great guy Bill walker ( b-w charters ) who went out of fair haven chnock harbor, went with him for 10 years then went and got my own boat and ran that for 10 years. Now it's been over 20 years and finely got a new boat so i'm looking forward to starting over again. thanks again for the reply. BILL
  11. I was thinking of staying at Anchor resort any expereance with accomadations? I will be comeing up from CT may 7 thru the 11, Do you think the brown trout will still be around, and do many salmon get caught that time of year? I used to fish out of fair haven 20 years ago and used to catch a little of everything.. Thanks for your time and responce BILL

  15. Hi I'm new to this site and I'm learning so much just from reading all your great posts,I have a question that I haven't seen to much talk about here goes.... I was thinking about using these reels on my new boat,A 195 cc Triumph, It has a t-top and i thought it would be nice and out of the way. If any one has any experience with these reels or any suggestions that would be very much appreciated...Thanks for your time Bill
