  1. John, Welcome to Rochester and Lake Ontario. 7 years ago I was in your spot having relocated from Augusta to the Rochester area. I just recently relocated to PA and am trying to sell a 2008 22' Trophy Pro. The boat is set up nicely for trout and salmon fishing. If you're inclined look in the "Classified" section of this website, I just reduced the price tonite! Boat is near you in Ontario, NY if you'd like to take a look or give me a call and we can talk about striped and/or trout and salmon fishing. Welcome again! 3. Just curious, why is this boat generating no interest? Price? Manufacturer? Setup? I need to sell it and I'm at a loss. Thanks in advance for your input. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  4. Bump...moving next week, give me a call!! Boat must go.
  5. I'm selling my 2008 Trophy Pro 2152 due to a relocation. $26,900. Boat includes: 190hp Mercruiser I/0 Humminbird 597ci Fishfinder (Purchased and installed last summer) Moor Subtroll (Purchased and installed last summer) Two (2) Cannon Mag 5 Electric Downriggers on swivel mounts Swim platform Complete cockpit canvas enclosure Anchor Stow Ship to Shore Radio Jensen CD player/Radio (Satellite Radio Compatible) Baitwell Two (2) Large Fish Boxes Cuddy comfortably sleeps 2 people Port-a-potty with pumpout Complete cushions for cuddy along with table Cushions for port/starboard aft seating Raw Water Washdown Boat is in excellent condition and has ample storage. Great boat for Lake Ontario fishing or take the family out on the weekend. It rides on a tandem axle roller Karavan trailer with surge brakes. Boat goes on and off the trailer extremely easy. Purchased in the Spring of 2009 as a left over from 2008 so it only has 3 seasons on it, one of which it only was used August/September. Been winterized and maintained by Pugsley's Marine in Ontario each and every year. You have to see the boat to appreciate it. Thanks and feel free to call me at (585) 317-3608.
  6. Here are some pictures of this boat. It's now at my home so you are welcome to come and take a look. I must sell it so look and make an offer!! I am selling my 2008 Trophy 2152 WA. Due to a relocation I will, unfortunately, not be able to use this boat and I know someone here will get a heck of a boat that is great for both fishing and fun. The boat is currently in winter storage and I don't have many pictures as I wasn't planning on leaving the area or selling the boat when I stored it. If you're interested let me know and I'm sure we can work something out to see the boat. Here are some of the details I can tell you about the boat: - I purchased it in August of 2010 from the original owner and used in a couple of times it 2010 and then all of last summer (2011) .- The original owner purchased it new in the spring of 2009 as a leftover from the previous model year. He used it for about 15 hours in 2009 and not at all in before I purchased it in 2010. - This boat is like new, very low hours. It is white in color with the dark/hunter green lettering on the sides and the bimini top is also the same green. I have had it winterized and prepped for use each spring by Pugley's in Ontario. The boat has never spent a winter outside. - It's equipped with a 4.3 liter MerCruiser I/O, 190hp. It has the "Pro" package. The boat has the bimini top and full cockpit enclosure curtains which are great early in the spring and later in the fall. It also has a new Humminbird 597ci GPS/Fishfinder that I purchased and installed last spring along with a new Moor subtroll I purchased and installed last year. It also has 2 Cannon Mag 5 electric downriggers, 2 fishwells, a livewell, raw water washdown, marine radio, and more. Without pictures available I found this YouTube video from a dealer somewhere and it does a nice job of walking you around the 2008 model. It will give you a good visual of how the boat is laid out. I am asking $30,000 for this boat. The trailer is a Karavan tandem axle trailer with rollers. The boat goes on and off the trailer very easily. I'm sorry to see this boat go, I loved it. I can be contacted by email at [email protected] or by phone at (585) 317-3608. Thank you for looking.
  7. I went with the slimy grimy and it worked better than advertised. Appreciate the tip!
  8. Thanks for the suggestion. The boat is on my trailer any issues with this stuff on the trailer? Which Slimy Grimy product do you recommend?
  9. I have a newer fiberglass (white) boat and hope to keep it that way. I don't have antifouling paint on the bottom and would prefer not to. I usually keep the boat at home but a couple of weeks back we decided to leave it at a Sodus marina for one night. I spent 10 hours the following weekend using a cleaner wax removing the yellow water line from the sides, back, and bottom of the boat. Boat spent Friday and Saturday this weekend at Sodus in the water. Got it home and gave it a quick bath tonite and much to my chagrin, looks like I may spend another weekend day removing the water line. Anybody have any product suggestions that may make the job a little easier? The cleaner wax works well but is incredibly time consuming. I've researched a bunch of different products but not sure I trust some of them and I'd prefer not to give this relatively new boat a chemical bath every time it spends a weekend in the water. Your suggestions are appreciated.
  10. Guys, Just did a bunch of searching on the site and couldn't find what I was looking for. Here's my question... Bought a Subtroll 900 and am reading the installation instructions provided. When it comes to the coated rigger cable I'm looking for some tips. I have Cannon riggers with autostop. I guess I can't use the black plastic autostop clip. So it suggests I bare 6 feet of cable that need to contact the set screw on the reel. Then it says the probe will take the place of the black plastic clip. Meaning my autostop will engage when the probe exits the water, as long as I leave 1/4" of metal exposed? I can't visualize what the whole thing looks like where the probe attaches. The instructions describe attaching the thimble to the upper eye of the probe and then taping the whole thing. Only thing is then the probe cannot be removed. Seems like everyone's probe I've ever seen attaches to the cable with a snap swivel? Then it recommends 18" of cable below the probe where the ball attaches...help! Where does my rigger release go in all of this? Are the thimble and crimp sleeves the best way to attach the cable? They mention a modified Klincher in lieu of the crimping sleeves. Thanks in advance, can't be that hard, I'm just having trouble visualizing. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  11. I would like to sell my Sitex CVS-833 Fishfinder and transducer. I bought a "used" boat last year and this finder was included. 12. In the market for down speed and temp probe. Been looking at all of the players: Moor, Cannon, Fish Hawk, Depth Raider. Looking for input from the group, especially concerning analog vs. digital. Pros/cons of coated cable vs. transducer. Thanks in advance for the opinions.
  13. Sitex CVS-833 Fishfinder, mount, and transducer, $900 obo. Unit is basically brand new. Purchased new with 2008 boat that has less than 20 hours. Fishfinder has speed and temp as well. I have a fishfinder from a previous boat so I don't need this one. http://www.boaterslife.com/si-tex-cvs-8 ... .278.6.htm. Call (585) 317-3608 or email. Thanks.
  14. Width probably is the right word...I'll start there, but... I've been trained with wire/braid a good rule of thumb is that a dipsy at a 2.5 setting 3 feet of wire/braid is equal to 1 foot of depth. So 300' of wire/braid is about 100' of depth. My experience tells me this is fairly accurate at a down speeds of 2.2 - 2.5mph. Does anyone know how far port and/or starboard from the boat our baits might be at this setting? Specifically how far from the sides of the boat the bait actually is, not from the center? Thanks.
  15. I did not install but its not that bad. You have to work around the rails a little bit when lowering and raising but its VERY do-able. Call me if you want more pics, measurements, or if you want to stop by & see it. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  16. I am selling my 2008 Triumph 170CC with 60hp Evinrude E-Tec Motor, $18,000 OBO. I purchased it new from Arney's Marina in June 2008. Its a great boat and is in new condition, we've just outgrown it. If you're not familiar its a 17' center console model and below is the link to their website. I can't say enough about the Evinrude E-Tec motor and will miss it. If you buy this boat today all you need is a lifejacket and a fishing rod and you'll be fishing tomorrow. Its all ready! http://www.triumphboats.com/index.cfm?p ... terx=170CC Boat options include: - Bimini Top - Swim Platform & Ladder - Bow and Aft Seat Cushions - Aft Seat Stainless Backrests - Stainless Bow Rail - Trolling Motor Panel w/ Tilt Switch - Swing Tongue Trailer Other items included: - Lowrance LMS 522C iGPS (Combo Fishfinder & GPS) - Minnkota Power Drive V2 Bow Mount Trolling Motor (12V, 55lbs thrust) w/ Foot Pedal - Two (2) Manual Big Jon Gadabout Downriggers w/ Gimbal Mount Bases If you want to fish or play this is a great boat for you. I've had it in the Finger Lakes, in the bays of Lake Ontario, and a lot of times out on Lake Ontario. The 60hp motor trolls down perfectly for browns in the Spring and trout & salmon all Summer and Fall. The electric trolling motor is great for bass, pike, or walleyes. The kids can enjoy a great swim off the boat as well as tubing or water skiing. The boat will also fit in a standard garage. This one has been stored inside since the day it was bought. I'll try and add some pictures later tonite but if you're interested give me a call at (585) 317-3608 or email me at [email protected]. Thanks, Derek
