  1. The one they no longer make because of the issues with it and the one they have no upgrade to fix it, am I bitter .. You bet your butt I'm bitter. Will never own a ray again!!

  2. My boat is trailer able and I do my best to follow the fish, spring is western south shore for browns, may is henderson for walleye , July -sept. Is henderson for kings. I have had more " dead water days"out of Oswego than any other port, so I rarely launch there. If you follow the reports on this site, you can find fish !!!!!!! Good luck and have fun setting up your boat. A little advice .... Buy the best you can afford, not the most!!!!!!!!

  3. My old boat has a Simrad, it never missed a beat., even at .8 mph for walleyes, my new boat has a Raymarine and I absolutely HATE it .. Just a total pain in the but, you have to be over 5 mph to engage and it kicks out below 2.2 mph, one heavy gust of wind and you have to speed back up to 5 mph to have it re-engage .....sucks, sucks, sucks !!!!!!

  4. With the length of your trip I would consider adding another 45 min. On it and go to henderson harbor. When I was fishing a smaller boat this was the go to area. Lots of sheltered areas and VERY good fishing. The hardest part is deciding what species you want to target.

  5. My first set of Scottie riggers , that went with the boat when I sold it , where 15 yrs. old. Used very hard and a lot. The two things that were done to them was1st. - replaced the drive belts, one time 2nd- removed the glaze from the clutch disc 2 maybe 3 times. I haven't had to touch my new ones for the two yrs. that I have had them. Running 15 lb weights. Needless to say but they are great riggers for the price.
