Awesome job on the eyes, what's the length of the smallest one? They all got nice shoulders on them, makes for nice fillets!!
Thanks!
The smallest is just over 18" and the largest is 27".

Thanks and definitely NOT Oneida!

I think I have one more run at the deep kings in me. Then it's over to flatlining kings and night eyes.

Good luck Chow and Hunt!

Try it in a 16' with a 25hp tiller, 2 easy trolls, and 2 dipseys. Oh, and Pa tags. They're just fish. I'm good with picking up the scraps on the outside .

Trust me, I started in a 14' boat running a single rigger and combat trolling off the SR. It was just as much fun back then.

I like the reflectors.

If it's a big East wind (normally with rain), followed by a big West wind, a lot of salmon will move into the river.
East wind pulls the cold water close to shore and the West wind pushes it out "trapping" the fish in warm water. They either move out or run the river and they normally run the river.

I think people get a little more aggressive when money is involved. Also they don't want to appear in the wrong to their clients so they make comments from boat to boat or over the radio like you heard to make it look like you were wrong. Not cool but it is human nature.
I always feel like charter boats are pushing me around in my little 18' boat.

1' - 2' off of Sandy Pond. Wind is going down.

Well done Scott!

Well done chow! Way to stay after them.

Dang chow. Sounds like a lot of people had a tough day today.

Sounds like a great day. Good job getting the wife and kids out on the water!

Ha ha I knew someone was gonna say that, I was 2.3 - 2.7 all day...the picture was snapped when a wave slowed me...

That's right where I like to be. Well at least back when I used to fish.

The screen looked good!

Speed up! You're not trolling for eyes.

It will get better Scott.
Nice job Tile Man.

Well done!

Exactly Pap! They save the day for a lot of guys.

If trolling I torpedo them too. When jigging I just hold them by the tail until they go. They have an air bladder so coming up from deep water is not much of an issue.

How awesome would it be if it worked?!

Gobies eating bass eggs, pike have lost spawning habitat, perch? Perhaps gobies or over harvest. Muskies VHS and loss of spawning habitat. I did some graduate studies through Potsdam State right before Steve started his research.
I would bet that gobies caused the big drop in sunfish numbers. From those graphs it looked like the bass were doing okay. The perch numbers were down too but that might be because the walleye numbers went up and they might eat more perch?
Good info for sure.

Nice video. I noticed you weren't taking it away but it sounds like those fish weren't chasers anyway. I bet drifting makes the lure act more like you are taking it away as opposed to being anchored.
The flasher idea is interesting. I will try that.
Beginners luck!
