  1. zarzycki, you say family fishing? if you need numbers for women and kids have you tried the north end of cayuga? you can hammer pickeral there with a johnson minnow or red eye on light tackle. you will also catch a few fair size pike and some nice bass. another good family spot is eel bay. i rent a state cottage on wellesy island 'bout every other year. they're not cheap but they are nice. you can leave your boat in the marina for 10 bucks a night. from there it's about a 10 minute run to eel bay. the bay is loaded with pike up to about 10 lbs. and they're dumb.

  2. hey trollers, help me out. i'm gonna do a bunch more trolling next year and i need some advice. i want to buy two decent rod and reel combos to troll with. what are you guys using?

i made this rod holder when i still had two hands. i did't want to drill a bunch of holes in my boat yet. it mounts on a pedastal in the rear casting deck. only 5 months til i can try it out.

  3. thanks. since i blew my hand up i haven't been able to do much so i got the pencils out. the nice thing about the ones i draw is they always bite and they're always big. i'm gonna get a nice one done this winter and donate it to larry for his tournament. door prize or something.

  4. my 08 merc 150 efi had 3 coils go bad after the warranty was over. they gave me six new ones on "good will". they need to have different warranties in cold weather states. you get two years on a new merc weather you live in florida and can use it all year or in new york and and only get six months. things will be different when i am king.

  5. i bought three of zach baker's baits at an auction last week. paid on monday, delivered on tuesday, nice service. took 'em to waneta thursday to get 'em wet. just the king and i were out. the baits all ran as advertised. some serious quality here. over the years i have bought some highly respected baits that turned out to be crap, but zach's stuff is all good. i REALLY like the deep diver,i was able to hit bottom anywhere in the lake at will with it. about noon i caught a low 30"er on it,trolling. i got tommorrow off to try chataqua on the full moon but it aint gonna happen. i had a horrible accident with a router today and i won't be fishing anymore this year. 22 stitches and i have never gushed blood like that before.arrrrrgh!

  6. i tried to bid on your stuff but when i registered on e-bay it said i was allready signed up. i retrieved my user name but when i tried to get my password back it said i didn't know my father's middle name or my phone number or somethin. have another drink. i'll try again tommorrow.

  7. i always use spinerbaits and bucktails first. with all the short hits yesterday i also tried spoons, minnowbaits, and some rubber stuff. only the hairy stuff got bit. the two i caught were south of mcpherson pt. in front of the red cottage in 14fow. both of those fish were around noon. sorry about your leader, hate it when that happens. chalk it up to metal fatique. gettin out in the wind was fun. lucky, nobody saw me. when i say i got out ok i really mean i got it out in one piece and didn't get laughed at.

  8. nice. you were in my spot so i fished the other side. i think the pike go after the walleye that stack up at the falls this time of year. aquaduct park is good too. so is the area behind mobil/pactiv. i fish swift's a lot 'cause i can walk there. the boat launch behind the fire dept. in macedon is killer for smallies.
