break wall in oswego is a good bet
pier at selkirk gets fished alot with good success
shoot me a PM before you come down IF the timing is right and i have my boat out you will be welcome aboard for a day of fishing on the weekend as work keeps getting in the way
-
7'6 daiwa heartlands only rod you need for boards or riggers
-
early may it is good up along the sand flats from salmon river to stony creek ( henderson)
stony creek launch is a good bet
sandy pond is an option on rough days plus ok ( not great ) access to the lake
channel can get pretty shallow at times
launch at the salmon river also ( pine grove) or lighthouse marina
-
i beleive WOODY'S tackle in port ontario is a authorized service and sales center for cannon
-
from the salmon river access...( port ontario) to oswego launch ( wrights marina ) is only 20-25 mins by auto so even if ya dont like the looks of the lake you can go to oswego and fish the harbor
another thought is to get in contact with a couple guys from this site in the area that mayby you could fish with
-
hope ya had a great one

spring pike fishing is good anywhere from henderson harbor to chaumont bay
rapala # 18 firetiger // blue silver // black gold
various spoons

oswego harbor is a good place to start in the spring
sand flats from salmon river north to henderson
black river bay is good in spring
spring classic is the hendeson derby...4-days usually 3rd weekend in may

welcome aboard

spring browns can be readily caught by flatlining
depending on water clarity any where from 50 to 250' behing the boat
a set of inline planer boards can easily add a couple more lines to your arsenal
spoons can range from black/silver to watermelon..... same with stickbaits......again depending on the day being sunny or overcast
10 lb mono will serve you fine until FLEA season
also check the ....open seat//trade a trip section to hook up with other guys from your area
if your on the east end of the lake send me a PM and we will go sometime
