I have two Rod & Reel combo’s that I need to part with.
 

The reels are Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 5500-C3 (made in Sweeden) spooled with fresh 12# mono and a 20 ft leader of fluoro. These have been recently taken apart and cleaned and re-lubed.
The rods are Shakespeare Intrepid IM-7 Graphite, 8-foot, ML action, 6-15# line.
These are great combos for riggers or flatlining in the Finger Lakes.  I have used them for Browns on Ontario, but would be considered on the light side for that 15 pounder you might catch.
Only $40 for each combo.

I also have a very nice Steelhead rod.  It’s a Daiwa HD Graphite, Procaster SS, 9 foot Light action, ⅛-¼ oz, line 4-10#.

QUESTION to you guys,   this post is really putting the fear in my next outing with my STX's

has anyone replaced the steel cable with , for example, Power-Pro braid 200#?

My question really is, will the "short-stop" still work with the braid ?

I coated my MG plywood with Gluvit.  From Jamestown distributers.  Also the 3M 5200 adhesive is one of the strongest available for other repairs.
I ordered new steering cable and pumps from Wholesale marine.
The new foam was also from the same company.
PS  the 2-gal kit was not enough for the entire job

I replaced the floor, flotation,  and transom in a 1988 17' Grumann CC, (third boat that I replaced the floor)

most likely it is the gear linkage rod connector is out of adjustment, or in the wrong position.  my mercury 115hp 4s has an adjustment screw at the top in the motor cowl.
my older merc 60hp 2s, had a cam that needed to be in a certain side of the lobe,  learned that the wrong way.

My 9.9 yamaha has an adjustment with a set-screw on the shift rod.  
what is the year, hp and make of the motor?

I have 10 streamer flies for sale that I used to catch Rainbows and Landlocks down on Skaneateles and Cayuga finger lakes when I used to live down there.
These were made in a fly-shop in Skaneateles that I believe is out of business.

Apparently, Saturday (with the blue sky's) was a better day than the rain/overcast Sunday.  go figure.  
had a quality not quantity day with a 5 and and 10 pounder in 10/12 fow on a silver/orange stickbait and a chicken-wing Stinger.  Great day to be on the water just the same.
