    That's a real beauty .

I see by the fin clip that it's a stocked fish.

Anyone have the fin clip legend that DEC put out?  I (we) would be interested in knowing how old it is.

RV so perhaps 2011 but I would wonder if from the previous cycle so maybe 2006.  Great to see healthy aged fish in the lake!!  Congratulations again.

  2. Certainly looks like loads of decent sized marks on that screen.  Stating the obvious but they look to be fish who weren't hungry.  In addition to swapping lures did you change speeds and direction or did the waves make that a challenge.

Can't stand those trips when the screen lights up with marks but the rods don't fire.  Some of the best days are when few marks and you get surprised as the rods keep firing!!  Think positive and get out there this weekend and things will change!

  3. Great looking fish.  As always, you have that lake dialed in.  Some of the water in the background looks colored.  Did the wind get it churned up a little?  Cayuga sits down so low compared to the land mass that never seems to see much colored water unless mud after heavy rain

  4. After this mornings trip to Ontario I definitely stand by the need for autopilot when running solo.  Got out with the sunrise and all systems were go except for the autopilot.  Working the shoreline became a major challenge as the waves were coming in at an angle and were just big enough to make it hard to step away from the wheel for very long.

If you are hooked on trolling consider either installing an autopilot in your rig or buy a new rig!!

And if watching the eclipse from the lake send pics!!
