  1. I am looking for help targeting Lakers/Steelies/Kings early in the year when the Browns shut down. I fish out of Fair Haven and this past weekend after the Browns shut down i moved out to deeper water to try my luck. I fished from 80-200 FOW with zero luck and a total blank screen. I had 47-43 degrees up top. I was running riggers down 20 - 45 and dipsies out 90 - 140 My question is what temps do i look for and do i run same rigger/dipsey KING spread or should i be running sticks off the boards etc. Any help would be great just trying something different

  2. Saturday was a "Blow Off" day at Fairahven with 6 - 8 footers. So I decided to walk the beach to see what i could find. Little did i know it would change my day. I found a Canadian Military Air to Surface "projectile". It was labled if found call Police or Military, Hazerdous Material Do Not Handle. So naturally i picked it up and brought it back to camp for a photo shoot. I then called a Coast Guard friend of mine who instructed me to call 911. i spent the next 2 hours with the State Troopers while we waited for the BOMB SQUAD to come and pick up the item. It was probably the most eventful "blow off" day i could of had and sure as hell beat doing yard work.

Here is the internet link that describes what I found:

  3. I am looking for help with some settings . I have a Humminbird 700 series FF/GPS combo. at trolling speed everything works great. when i start to motor even 5-10 mph the screen shows alot of returns/fish/etc. when i slow down it all disappears. i am pretty sure it is just a setting issue. Wondering what the fix is

  4. I went to Wrights Landing on Saturday to have a look at things. All the ice is gone and there are no "bergs" in the river or out in the lake. They have put all their docks in front of the launch ramps this year with no way to get a truck and trailer through. Does anyone know when they plan on opening things up? in years past you could always launch there before the docks were in, but not this year.

    ;(

  5. After taking deer with a gun the last couple years I decided to give bowhunting a try. I saw a small button buck and only one doe earlier in the year but nothing worth taking. I found a scrape and a rub in the hardwoods away from my stand. I moved my stand to that area and 2 days later I rattled this deer in. a He was a good sized 6 point. He came in at 25 yards but never presented me a shot. He almost walked off before I was able to get a shot on him. I was able to recover him 1.5 hours later in a cornfield. He is not the biggest deer but being my first with a bow he is a trophy to me.
