  1.  I know this is not the time to sell, pictures will follow about everything I am going to try to list by memory 1989 Blue Fin deep vee Sportsman, 17 1/2 foot riveted tinny LEAK FREE was a very well maintained boat by the previous owner, and I, I believe I have owned it for 2 years ?, it was a walk-through boat at one time in it's life, and has slowly opened up to a single counsel.(it is registered till 2015, and I don't care if you don't register it till then) It sits on an galvanized Escort bunk trailer, which has a 7 pin plug, new wiring, new lights, new radial tires and a new spare, Bearing Buddy hubs, I'm not sure about that, they are grease gun friendly. The boat has a 2001 40 HP Mercury 4 stroke outboard on 'er, the carbs were JUST recently pulled cleaned re-built, and adjusted by Bull Frog mechanic Brian, and it runs GREAT !, it too has it's own battery,on the bow is a Minn Kota Terrova 24 volt 80'lbs of thrust 60 inch shaft auto pilot, anchor lock,I-Pilot head)remote OR foot pedal operated, 2 new top of the line marine Interstate batteries, once I got this electric motor I trolled only with it ALL DAY(5 AM- 11 AM)and still had 2-3 bars of power left ! depending on the waves. there is a Lowrance Elite 5 chartplotter/fish finder hooked up to the Minn Kota trolling motor, with it's "anchor lock" feature(trolling motor) it made deep water jigging a blast !, on the drivers console is a Garmin Echo 500C,also hooked to a separate deep cycle battery, there are 2-24" traxstech plates, with the end stops rock solidly mounted, 1 port, 1 starboard, on these are 3 each of Traxsteck adjustable aluminum rod holders #RRH-230 (pull pin), 4 Okuma rod pole combos, 2 brand new Bloodrun wire, 2 1,000' of Power-Pro braid 65# test also new this year, 6'6" Abo Garcia jigging rod,(IM-6) paired with a round Abo red baitcasting reel, BOTH are brand new, reel has braid and fluorocarbon leader. There is a 7' Daiwa Heartland spinning rod paired with a Diawa reel ($200 new for the combo), a little "whippy" was a nice stream rod, but I liked to flatline it out the back with some kinda minnow lure or small spoon, also included is a 9' Reddington 4-5 wt fly rod and case. ALL the lures, plugs, spoons, cut bait heads, flies, jigs (literally 100's) soft plastics (packs) Grease Traps, Spin Doctors, 8-9 ?Anything that Mike (Iron Duke) Sean Brown ( Reel Hooked Up Charters) his first mate......Jason told me to buy HAD been bought ! & is still here  ;) ANYTHING I absorbed from this site.....bought.....so what if it was for the "O".....you never know, 4 TX-44 planer boards, minimum of 4 Dipsy's (BLACK MAGNUMS), dipsy holder bag, I have Bass Pro's biggest Extreme boat bag (no wheels) filled with excess spoons in Plano boxes ( I have a spoon box....magnum) 12 maybe more Plano 3700's (maybe more), the bag is full !, there's another smaller boat bag (Bass Pro) that contained my favs and that I fished out of, over 100#'s of lead, 20# bottom pour furnace (110V) 3 of the must have Do-It jig molds if you really want to try jigging, fly tying equipment, mylar and more mylar, fly heads TIE your own trolling flies ! beads and more beads EVERY necessary color, powder paint, reel of 65# Power Pro, monofilament (? spell check says it's wrong), hybrid fluorocarbon, fluorocarbon, lifevest(s), rope, anchor,.....I'm sure I'm forgetting something..........here's the deal......it ALL goes as a package, I will not piece out anything ! 2. Is there still a 5 lake trout limit in Keuka and Seneca ? regulations start out with (listing ALL the trout) 5 in COMBINATION. Catch shall include no more than 1 rainbow or 3 landlocked, was the 5 lake trout a "test period" ? can a person just catch and keep 5 lake trout ?, or just 5 brown trout ?, Keuka/Seneca, 5 rainbows in Cayuga ? .............and before Ed, or anybody else says anything, someday I may catch 5 of something  :envy:  :P

  3. TODAY'S FISHING TRIP:, first time ever I forgot the ice, the ice is a gallon jug of water frozen and put inside my cooler, a gallon of water weighs 8.34#'s.......8.34#'s is EXACTLY the weight needed to keep the cooler($54.88 @ Walmart) inside the boat while going 60-65 MPH down the highway, OH ! and the cooler is where I keep the boat's "drain plug" so that it won't get lost, 2 trips up and back to Severne also tells me that there are people out there that know a quality cooler when they see one, especially one with a boat's drain plug :o ........the fishing ?, that mild 3MPH wind ? oh that happens when I'm trailering the boat home, NOT while I'm on the lake !, silly people !......today's water fleas congregated at the 160' mark of a deployed Dipsy Diver set out at 280'............marked a LOT of fish, BUT once again couldn't keep anything clean long enough for anything to bite

  4.  That's what that  "can of mec motor tune" does , pull the cover off the carbs and spary it in.....smokes like heck and the ones that sounds like it's killing the motor go back and give it MORE.....

Well it would run some today but still used the kick 95% of the time...... seems like some thing is stuck open and when it starts it ends up flooding out ???  I can't seem to get the bulb to get hard like it will on the kicker ??? going to take a another look see on gas lines but still think I have carb jet problems....

Exact symptoms my 2001 had ( topic: Anyone know a good Merc. mechanic) The "Brian s" at Bull Frog Marina were highly recommended, and I too recommend them,  3 carbs rebuilt and adjusted....$600......runs like a raped ape now  When I was calling around "security" of one's property was tighter there than anywhere else too............besides Tie Boy, you and "Kinger" are welcome in my boat during your loll  :hi:

  5. Left the homestead at 5:15 AM and headed to Lodi........ got a great picture of the moon, and of the straight out flags, wind was whipping pretty good, him and hawed and decided I wasn't up to the fight by myself, drove to Watkins, hit the East side, found fish and bait in 200-208 FOW, set up with my usual Mag Dipsy's Spin Doctor fly combinations, 1 Jet Diver out the back, trolled to Hector Falls, quite a LOT of "nobody home" hits, finally connected on the starboard side,2.3-2.5 GPS MPH, Dipsy set on 2, 280' back green dot on glow Spin Doctor with a Homosezwhat fly (most recent combination recommended by Mike (Iron Duke) at Hills, Valleys, and Streams) figured that fish would be my supper for tonight  was on the trailer and heading for home by 10:30

  6. My health has decided to take a crap on me........that being said I would like to keep this post about the boat and gear,(My neighbors, who know me, the wife doesn't know I'm doing this)(I would like to keep it that way)                  I know this is not the time to sell, I'm a little busy right now, pictures will follow about everything I am going to try to list by memory 1989 Blue Fin deep vee Sportsman, 17 1/2 foot riveted tinny LEAK FREE was a very well maintained boat by the previous owner, I believe I have owned it for 2 years ?, it was a walk-through boat at one time in it's life, and has slowly opened up to a single counsel.(it is registered till 2015, and I don't care if you don't register it till then) It sits on an galvanized Escort bunk trailer, which has a 7 pin plug, new wiring, new lights, new radial tires and a new spare, Bearing Buddy hubs, I'm not sure about that, they are grease gun friendly. 7. Hey Kinger !, they were right where you told me, just past the point, couldn't get them going on spoons, but "old faithful" worked, Glow Frog Racer Spin Doctor and a Reel-Hooked Up fly, first "different fish" in this boat !   Thank You  , you must have warmed them up for me  :* went 2 for 5, when I was reeling in "NOT a laker" fish, had 2 other rods throbbing, no partner today, kept my eye on the prize  :) You are right about the weeds !, the farther North I went, the worse they got 150-200' FOW, 50-60' down, 110' back "0" setting, 160' back on the "2" setting THANKS AGAIN  post-144605-0-16859000-1376688291_thumb.jpg

  8. Nice Marty! I had a feeling I was being watched:). Girls helping me wash boat always turns into them dancing all over and me scrubbing my butt off. I'm glad I had it out of the slip before the flood hit.

Just so you know Sean, it's "digital zoom" ;) ...............Jason lies about me sneaking around  :bandit: I'm just walking my dog  :toivo: ..........yeah that's it.........walking my dog

  9. Wife and I sitting on our deck enjoying watching ALL   his little GIRLS   dancing on top of the cabin roof,............... keep waiting for the "boy friends" to happen & the boat being turned into  a water skiing/tubing craft,............ just before THE storm hit.............then I viewed to see which rod would act like a lightning rod  :rain:   :bandit: .................I AM NOT JEALOUS !!!!!! :envy: post-144605-0-63191800-1376062121_thumb.jpg post-144605-0-17597200-1376062162_thumb.jpg

  10. I have a 16 1/2'  deep vee Blue Finn Sportsman, I went with the Minn Kota Terrova also   60" shaft, 24 volt, 80# thrust w/ I-Pilot, like Jonboy I too am out ALL day w/ it trolling, jigging, I have my Lowrance elite 5 hooked up to the built in transducer PAR EXCELLENCE !  I-pilot totally eliminated my fishing partner, (Frank can't keep a boat straight, driving & texting !) he still comes BUT he sits until a rod fires ! If your into jigging, the built in "electronic anchor lock" (drift 5' from a selected spot and it returns you to it !) The I-pilot link that Don mentioned above ONLY works with  Humminbird fishfinder and LakeMaster digital GPS maps, which is ONLY available for Michigan ? Minnesota ? But the I-Pilot alone works wonders, point it in the direction you want to go and it doesn't falter, not with waves, wake, wind, fool partners moving around in the boat :wondering:  PLUS it's ALL REMOTE CONTROL !!!!!!!! $1489.99 from Minn Kota, pricey, but I can't say enough nice things about mine !  :inlove:  http://www.minnkotamotors.com/products/trolling_motors/freshwater_bow_mount/terrova.aspx .......I call mine Frank  ;) Stuman your welcome to come aboard and check "Frank" out before you buy if you like
