  1. Went 8 for 11, 6 nice kings, a brown and a skippy. Spoon bite, leadcore, riggers, and cheaters. Colors, mixed veggie, green/black, silver.....hit on every spoon I put out. 7 color leadcore on planers....after first rigger king wrapped around chute leadcore. Fish in photo 34", 18lb..... others 10-15 lbs. 2 of the fish lost were nice kings.

Great fights with much aerial action and strong runs.

    All fish released.

Thanks for the link! My Perko battery switch is supposed to do the same ithing. Battery 1, 2 or All.

I really like my Blue Seas fuse blocks.
The Add-A-Battery includes an ACR which saves you from having to select "All" when you are running your motor or charging, and then switching to "1" or "2" to keep your "house" circuits from discharging your starting battery. It is mostly a convenience, and another level of protection against accidentally discharging both batteries.

  3. On 1/7/2018 at 12:23 PM, Capt Vince Pierleoni said:

We've been told(Niagara county fishery advisory board) to expect high water again. They(IJC) are sticking to their guns with the 2014 plan. They are blaming the flooding on a wet spring and gambling that it won't be as wet this year.

And we are starting the year almost a foot higher than last year

  4. From Webster, NY Emergency Alerts Page:

    May 2, 2017 3:00 PM
    Irondequoit Bay High Water Advisory
    Attention ALL Boaters:

Current water levels are much higher than the long-term average for this time of year and are expected to rise.

High water levels and wave action cause significant damage to the shoreline and adjacent properties.

PLEASE LOWER YOUR SPEEDS throughout the Bay and observe the no wake advisory within 500 feet of the shoreline.

The regulated 300-foot no wake zone will be strictly enforced.

REMEMBER every boat is responsible for its wake and any resulting damages.

If flooding worsens, state of emergency restrictions on speeds and/or wake zones may be enacted until conditions improve.

  5. I rig mine a little different. I cut the metal wire rod off of the Chamberlain and run my rigger cable thru the Chamberlain where the rod went thru. I also use a short piece of plastic tube that makes the fit between the Chamberlain and the wire better. It's actually chafe tube I used when tuna fishing. Now to keep the release from just running up the rigger cable I stack scotty stop beads above it. I believe I got this method off this board years ago before Chamberlain beefed up their wire diameter on the release. If you have the new release your probably fine but I had some of the original thinner diameter wire releases and I couldn't see myself trusting htem to hold that much weight. I also like the clean look of the method I use which also involves less connections.

I do exactly the same as CaptSpike describes above for my coated cable for my Depth Raider.

For the Fish Hawk, I rig as the original poster's photo, as I find it much easier to rig and maintain.

Another approach I tried is to use the Chamberlain stacker style release, but I prefer the two methods above as they both allow the release to swivel.
