  1. I've had my mathews Outback for 4yrs now, and love it. I'm not saying I wouldn't shoot something else, but I can shoot it pretty good, it's smooth, quiet and fast enough for me. Like others here have said it's not the name on the bow it is how it feels and shoots for you. Can't wait for spring fishing season to get here :)

  2. About 35 yrs ago I would fish the unadilla river in Otsego county with my grandad we would use burlap feed bags to get ahold of them and pappy would cook them up and from what I can remember they were good eat'n. But back then we ate every fish we caught :)

  3. Anyone own or shot a Thompson Center 30TC, they say they are flatter shooting than a 30-06 or 308 with a harder hitting power. Want to get the 28" ss fluted barrel for my encore.

  4. I have a 16ga Deerslayer early 1950s 4 digit serial number, I had a barrel fitted for it a few years back with rifleling at Creekside in Canadaqua but is not considered a rifled barrel. The barrels on the early ithaca's were not interchangable and it had to be machine fitted but it does throw one hell of a slug. Better group using Remington slugs. So your not crasy - just not a real rifled barrel like the newer ones that you have to use rifled slugs.

  5. I have a couple farmers that I help out on weekends during haying season when I can, and they allow me and my sons to hunt their land in exchange. Saves them from having to hire someone and gives us a place to hunt without having to worry about alot of other hunters. Don't cost us anything but a little time and the farmers love the help. You can also help in the spring building fence they seem to like that too:)

  6. Saturday fished 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, trolled Selkirk to North Dunes 50-70 fow, marked fish but only one release, went in tight 15- 25 fow used planner boards with J-plugs nothing.

Sunday morning fought the fog out at 6:00 am went out to 70-90 fow nothing, moved back in to 50-60 fow marked fish all day changed form meat (familiar bite) to flys, rans spoons and then J-plugs had one on with a bloody nose but lost it at the boat. Finally call it a day about 3:00 pm. Was a beautiful day on the lake but no fish to bring home, but that's ok anyday on the water is better than sitting on shore, plus I got to listen to the JETS beat up on NE on the radio :) Gonna give another shot this weekend hope the fish co-operate. :)
