  1. acid rain, purple loosestrife, coming ice age, killer bees, zebra mussels, quagga mussels, phragmites, global warming, commorants, giant hog weed, water levels find me something else to worry about. If you build on a flood plain guess what . You can only release so much water without flooding people downstream who also built on a flood plain.   I understand some areas of Quebec where thy are tired of  paying damages every few years are telling people they will buy their  house so they can move and creating green space if they decide to stay in future they are on their own.

  2. Not that many years ago water levels on Lake Huron and Georgian Bay were so low that peoples docks and boathouses were many yards from the shoreline. It wasn't that many years ago scientists were predicting a coming ice age. I don't want to play poker with mother nature I wouldn't stand a chance. The farmer wants rain, the golfer wants sun, the sailor wants wind, I want a light breeze how does she decide who to please and who to disappoint. I'm just thankful for any day I can stand upright and roll with the punches.

  3. So i've been using Alpena Diamonds in the spring for a few years now and doing reasonably well. I came late to the big pond after 35 years of muskie fishing so all lures were new to me. After watching a boat partner clean up with Alpena Diamonds I bought a bunch at used tackle sales most for about a buck. So far they are working and I thought they had been a good investment but now I hear some of you guys saying throw them away. .

This dinosaur is still catching muskies on the same lure as he caught the first of well over a thousand on over 40 years ago..

  4. Seaway Locks Each lock is 233.5 metres long (766 feet), 24.4 metres wide (80 feet) and 9.1 metres deep (30 feet) over the sill. A lock fills with approximately 91 million litres of water (24 million gallons) in just 7 to 10 minutes. Getting through a lock takes about 45 minutes.

  5. check out the Quinte board you should find several. There are hut rentals Dave Chatterton of Fishfinder Charters has huts in the Belleville Trenton area. There are guides that use portable huts and move around to put you on fish. Stacy Ash of Pro Tackle in Belleville is a good resource to get the latest info on the Bay. To my thinking there is an evening bite and a morning bite and is not somewhere I would want to sit in a hut all day..

  6. MC Rockets work at times better than bait. I'm not convinced the tongue out of your sneakers wouldn't work and stand up better than bait. Freedom Lures makes a plastic cutbait in many colours and some friends did well with them last season( and loaded up on this year) something I will definitely try but really wish they had put a rattle in them

  7. Rumor has it that the New York State and Province of Ontario governments are about to mandate the removal of all pleasure boats and commercial boats of less than 45 feet from Lake Ontario till July 15 2019. This should lower water levels 4 inches and lessen potential flooding.

I'm starting this rumor pass it on
