I no longer fish or make egg sacks and found this stash of mesh and egg sack material in a box after I moved. 30 bucks takes the entire thing. There are multiple colors of Tulle and egg sack scarf as well as blackbird and Atlas mesh that is precut or in rolls. Please see the 2 pics in the link below. I'll cover shipping if anyone wants this sent to them.

I do tie up sucker spawn, but I don't have any in mass quantity in the boxes ready to go at the moment. What colors and sizes are you looking for?

Pics have been added...

I'll be posting pictures to this post tonight of the flies since I am not allowed by policy to upload them from work. If you have a Salmon Crazy account, there is another post in their classified section that shows a sample of the flies.

The amount of bio material from the cottages and the dead and decaying matter (ie weeds and stuff) has really put a damper on that lake for me.
Love the fact the the sewer line is there, but since there is no requirement to attach to the sewer line that can cause issues as well. Fishing there is very easy from the amount of cover and numbers of fish, but I have a hard time eating any fish that comes out of there from May until October. Let alone other times as well just because of the smell...
-
The solution is to shut down every cottage that has any sort of wildcat lines or leach fields for their septic systems and install a sewer system around the whole lake.... there is more human waste in that lake along with the contaminants from runoff that personally I have no idea how anyone could live on it or even eat any fish from it.... This is not a new problem by any means... All of the old cottages used to have these...

Jimski,
Have you been able to try out those new swivels that I mentioned in another post yet? With the depths that you have been fishing I was wondering if you were able to see if they hindered the sensitivity of your rod/line... With the fall runs here in the bays I rarely ever have to go deeper than 35 feet, but I was wondering if you have had any issues with them...

isn't six pounds of lead a little to much for a perch rig?
Why yes, yes it is and thank you for pointing that out to me. I hate it when I mean to type 6lb lead to the lead/weight not an actual 6 lb of lead

I am running a palomar knot from my braided mainline to the top of the T swivel, then 4-5lb Flourocarbon from swivel to hook and then for the dropper loop to the next swivel 8# then the same for the swivel to the hook and then a 4# 8-12 inch dropper to the bell sinker for my perch rigs. I'm not seeing how much more sensitive I can get without running a straight braided rig directly to a hook.
My leads are no more than 12 inches in length so if it moves, the mainline should transmit that to me. Please clarify if I am missing something here.

I was thinking of giving them a try for 3-way drifting for walleyes, and even as another method of presenting a troll for them along deep drop-offs, but at a buck a swivel, I might just limit this to more controlled presentations like jigging and crappie/perch rigs.
-
Guys,
I know that this product has been around for about a year now, but if you enjoy tying your own perch rigs, I'd suggest you give these a shot. The T-swivels by Thundermist lures hold that vertical presentation of the main line, but give 360 degrees un-obstructed movement of the bait. I tried these with 15 lb flouro leads to the hooks and a 1/4oz weight/bottom bouncing lead and have had no issues with hooks or bait getting tangled up in the rig. I still even with braid to the top rig am getting pretty good feel to the rig as well.
Here is a link but the swivels can be found at Dicks Sports, and other shops in NYS.

Regulations for Walleye on Honeoye have changed twice since I've been fishing there and statewide limits were put on Perch not too long ago as well. They're reviewed regularly and in most cases changes are deemed unecessary. But regardless of that, if a person ponys up for a NYS anglilng license and they fish within the regulations then it's none of my business what they keep even if they're keeping limits of 10-14 lb Walleyes to bury in their garden for fertilizer. Again, one could lobby for a slot limit if it's a concern.
Bosco, Just so you know, there have been slot limits currently and in the past on lakers for LO and there have been graveyards found of filleted lakers up north above Jefferson county. I'm not disagreeing with you, but if there is a slot limit then all fish should come back to the docks intact and all filleted fish should be assumed in the slot and 2 fines should be issued, unlawful carcass disposal and undersized/slot sized fish were kept.

I ended up with 22. All over 11 inches since all keeper need to be bigger than the rod handle, but the bite shut off for me at 10-10:30 and was rough going after then. I went south of 104 and stuck to the east since the wind died down. Great consistent morning but died around 10:30 ish. Moved all over after 11:00 and decided to call it a day at 12:30.

Scotty-
I don't think that I am going to head out until after the 1st full week of Oct. The surface temps were really high to the touch, which would explain the non- schooling and all of the searching that i had to do. Next weekend they are calling for a high in the low 60s. 3-4 days of that, then I'll be back on the water. Until then time to take out the 2 hand rod and swing for Kings.
Are all stocked salmon....
