Sk8 I haven't broke a #10 yet but do the 8's feed as well thru the reel I'd like to run something heavier in between my copper and backer? That seems to be the weak link as far as lb ratings go

When using the power swivels and then a 25 foot leader do you have to use another ball bearing swivel at the lure or is just a snap ok ?

I still use a ball bearing snap for termination

I have been using spro size 10 power swivels for four years now without a single failure and can't imagine ever tying knots again! They will run through your rod eyes and onto the reel with no issues. Just my 2 cents.

Cisco makes a bracket to mount tracks on the versatrack but it is costly but before I bought that I used the cannon or Scotty $19 plastics and for brackets just buy 2x2 aluminum angle cut it to size 1/4" carriage bolts with wing nuts to mount to your track and done. That's by far the cheapest way to go

If you really want to target them get the cowbells and spin n glows. They make a huge difference. Gambler will hook you up rite!

I don't speak for everyone but I prefer significantly lighter leaders 15-20lb depending on what rod it's on. Spring is primarily a spoon bite and as others said once the fleas get bad you will want to up your rigger lines.

I just got done playing and yes when I pulled the braid to tight that's what happen. And for whatever reason it's easier for me to go under the braid then over the top and pull straight.

Eyeslayer I didn't have much tension on the floro with the heavier line. I just tied it a couple more times the trick seems to be having the rite amount of tension on the mainline it has to be loose enough to coil over

Swivel is why I was asking but I just attempted the knot a few times what lb floro are you tying in. I tried with 8lb and struggled went to 17 and it was quite easy maybe try with something heavy for practice

I have 10s and 12s and like you said I have no issues cranking I find it easy to say the least. I pour concrete for a living so 15 seconds winding isn't a deal breaker. I also have a teenage son lol. The biggest benefit I see so far is when **** hits the fan and 2-3-4 rods go off I may get back in the water 2-3 minutes faster at best. But then again with that much gear up I'd probably make a aggressive turn and reset on the same line
