i used michingan stinger umbrella rig with a peanut or spin & glow on the finger lakes and have success with them

my boat had points . every spring i put a new set points condenser and rotor to get it started for the season . if the boat sat any length of time back under cap to clean points to get it going again . I had enough with this crap i said put in the hot spark conversion kit in and haven't been under the distributor cap in 6 years now starts up after winter and starts easier then the point ever did . at the time i bought the hot spark kit it was like 50 bucks . save a bunch of time and headaches

the incoming storm front got some guys a little intense these days les 

they been rebuilding them have to be close to being done.

a good pre trip and post trip inspection goes a long way to catch hoses and belts lose this or that . do carry a tool bag to make small repairs on the water. as for parts extra  fuel separator filter ,clamp or two roll of electrical tape , fuses . some down rigger parts . like the feeling of a kicker gives ya when heading out on the water for that just in case .

when FLT spoon came out i put in an order and received  it with in a week . never ordered any more after hearing he was having trouble filling orders was glad i stayed a way . just got some hybrid lures they look amazing . the eyes are going to be killing his worm harness .

with the low water levels i hope the bows get in and out with out getting beat up to bad .

is your sonar / gps  a internal antenna ? does it have good reception to pick up the satellites ?  another thing it could be water conditions as the boat rocks back and forth the gps reads movement . just food for thought .

 last summer drought and the low snow pack keep the lakes low  the canal system likes the lakes low for the spring floods. it depends on the spring rains now . the canal system can hold back water if they chose to do so 

go to your local nissan / tohatus dealer the plug has a magnetic end to pickup metal chips from oil 

i have a 470 in my boat the moe always has antifreeze in it . i run the pink stuff threw the heat exchanger then drain it . i figured if any thing left it wouldn't freeze . after seeing paps jars and reading he had a cracked motor never again . i will run 50/50 green stuff threw the heat exchanger . thanks for the imfor pap sure was the hard way to find out the pink stuff is junk 

i remember  the first time i made delivery to the nuke plant . i pulled down the road where i seen a  guard shack and was meet with guys with assault rifles . i knew right away i wasn't to be at this entrance . so if those guy with machine guns came out and meet the fishermen inside the buoys i am sure you get the drift then . 

if  governor Cuomo vows not to stop illegal immigration / travel ban . federal funds will be with held for New York State . the money is going to come from some place the first thing to go will be funding for recreation state parks across the state . We the people , yeah right . 

the prop shop in sodus point on fitzhugh st . i used to deliver his welding gases . he know his stuff . 

seems like a lot of coin to me . i see it don't have a tiller arm . so you could not use it on a row boat or if wanted to sell it would cut down the people who would want it . i bought a three old four stroke with 30 hrs on it for 1250 last fall . 

when not with your  charter you can try pine grove in port ontario for shore fishing . i used to cast from bank for northern pike and bass  . bass wont be in season so check to see if catch and release is ok
